Grunting and turning over, I pulled a pillow over my head to try blocking out the alarm of the clock I set to wake me up. Once my efforts proved useless, I threw the pillow off, not caring if it flew off the bed and sat up. I rubbed my eyes with a yawn before looking up to look at the time. 8:30. Groaning, I slammed my hand into the top to push the button. We would need to be at the alter by 10. Standing from the bed, I went into the hall and knocked on Alaska's room across from mine.

Not even after a minute of waiting, the bride opened the door, hair wet and tooth brush in her mouth. I was a little confused to see her already showered and taking care of morning breath.

"You didn't wake me?" I asked, picking at dried drool on my chin.

"Set an alarm for you, didn't I?" She asked with a white, toothpaste smile. "Go get ready, Jess. I won't tolerate a maid of honor with messy hair and dragon breath." She raised her eyebrow and shut the door.

"I didn't think you were up!" I shouted loud enough to hear through the door. Moving back too my room, I cupped my hand over my mouth and breathed out, smelling what she called dragon breath. Ugh, no wonder...

"No! Bad Monte!" Alaska swatted my hand away from my deep purple eye make up. I groaned in response.

"Make up suuuuucks! My eye is itchy and I can do a thing about it without messing it up!" I sighed, looking at my friend in her blue dress. From her chest going down to her mid thigh, it was light blue silk, wrapping around her body, downward was see through blue material. Her veil was long, white with loopy designs around the borders. Her hair went down in curls so neatly, a head piece with light blue stones and silver around the top of her head, a little jewel on her forehead from it. Her make up matched all her blue, along with some black, rhinestones around her eyes. Just like everything else, her shoes were slightly richer blue, with white and silver snow flakes. Even her nails consisted of her tips being blue and glittery, snowflakes as well. Around her neck was a white lacy neck choker, and blue and white leaf shaped earrings with jewels decorating the sides of her face.

My own dress was purple, hugged my chest before going down in individual curls of deep purple. My hair was let down, curled slightly just to bring some neatness to my usually messy curls. My head piece was purple and silver, like hers. Since she loves me, she let me wear sparkly silver high tops, with that hidden heel within. My choker had purple stones, and the fabric was black.

"You get used to it. Hurry, put your mask on!" She nudged excitedly.

I grabbed mine from her hands and put it over my face, narrowing my eyes at her. "A masked wedding." I said plainly.

"I know! Where do I come up with such awesome ideas!?" She smiled bright. I couldn't help but sigh a little, nodding with a little smile. I bit the inside of my cheek as the beginning of the altar music began, reaching out a hand to the man who would be walking me out, England.

                                                       .-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-..-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.

"Can I get you a drink, love?" England asked as the bride and groom had their first dance, the rest of the party looking and watching as they stared into their faces with soft passion. Yup, she would be getting some once the night was over.

"Can you, iggy? Thank you." I nodded, taking his hand and kissing his cheek. He nodded with a smile before turning away and starting to the drink table. I reached a hand up and traced the lines of my mask, curvy and thin. I got over the urge to rub my eyes and smudge my make up, staying still for so long hearing a couple recite their vows does that.

My eyes widened when I felt arms over my waist, only able to smile and look back over my shoulder at a certain blond haired, bushy browed man. I took the can of soda from his hand, giggling as he put his nose to my hair and breathed out, messing with my hair a bit.

As I tilted my head back to take a drink, the guests started clapping as the song ended and another slow song played, all couples moving to the floor this time. I felt his arms tighten around me slightly.

"Want to dance, Monte?" He asked, resting his chin on my shoulder. I nearly spit up my soda when I heard his question.

"N-No, no, no... I really can't dance. I'll end up hurting you in some way." I quickly refused, shaking my head, looking down to the floor. I felt him chuckle, his lips near my ear.

"Please, Love? Try? I'd like to at least try teaching you if you wouldn't mind me..." He whispered, taking my drink and putting it at a table before standing before me. His hand grasped mine and I looked up, shyly moving onto the dancing crowd with him. I swallowed as he pulled me close, my chest so close to his. I had seen enough movies and things like that to know at least how to hold each other. My arms went around his neck, resting on his shoulders.

"See? You've got most of it. Now we just...sway." He explained before shifting his weight from one foot to another. I nodded a little and followed his movements, needing to look down to see my feet. After a few moments, he took a hand from me and put a finger under my chin, tilting my head up to look to him. He smiled down at me, "You're doing fine, love." He encouraged, leaning forward and pressing his lips to mine, making me press back to him.
