"Dude, when you get married, it feels awesome." Alaska smile big, showing me her wedding ring, the silver bending in soft curves, two light pink jewels on those curves. "Like... You belong to someone, and they belong to you." She bit her lower lip, wiggling her fingers.
"I hear ya, it must feel so good." I smiled a bit, leaning my head on the long table of the conference room, eyes slightly watery.
"Something wrong, Monte?" She looked to me, tilting her head to the side. I sighed, looking to England a few chairs away from me, groaning as I tried wiping away the tears from my eyes.
Following my gaze, Alaska looked to him too. He was jittery, fidgeting in his seat, running his fingers through his hair a lot and not meeting our eyes. "Oh! Is he all romantic with you? Chocolates? Roses? A little...Frickle frackle?" She asked, nudging me.
"What? Why would he?" I asked, sniffling and trying not to let tears spill from my eyes. "He's been so...so distant... I think he's going to break it off with me..." I whispered, shoving my fingers under my glasses and rubbing them softly.
"Oh...Monte, I'll talk with him, come on, let's go wash up." She gasped my wrist and made me stand to take me to the wash rooms. I sat up on the counter where the sinks were. She went into one of the stalls and got me a few layers of toilet paper, giving them to me and lightly petting my arm. I blew my nose and sighed.
"I don't think he's going to hurt you, Monte, I'll talk to him." She patted my back before leaving the room.
Alaska's POV
Growling as I pushed open the doors of the conference room. My eyes narrowed to England, who was looking over his shoulder a me. I went over and grabbed him by the collar of his dress shirt.
"W-What are you doing, Alaska!?" He hissed, gripping my wrist. Despite his tugging, I dragged him in the hall, ignoring the shouts from America about interrupting the meeting. Once outside, I pushed him to the wall.
"What the hell are you doing, you English idiot?! I thought you were going to pr-"
"I am, Alaska, I am!! Why is she so upset?" He asked. I only slapped my forehead with my hand, shaking my head.
"Because you, being the dummy you are, won't act natural. Which was what you wanted of us! She thinks you're going to dump her, you ass!" I nearly shouted.
"I'm sorry! It's not my fault I'm getting nervous!" He tried defending.
"Look, you need to move up when you're going to talk to her. Or else she'll be crying her eyes out until you finally do. Come on!" I hit his chest.
"E-Even earlier than I planned!? But it was going to be something really special." He looked down with a sigh, crossing his arms.
"You don't need to do that fancy crap, the restaurant reservations or anything. Monte is kinda simple. Think about it, your dates have been movies at your house, tea at a little cafe. The only huge, big thing you've both done together is dance at my wedding." I pointed out. "All I'm saying is that you should hurry this up! It's been 3 years!" I brushed my blond hair back. "Now if you'll excuse me, I need to calm her down." I said before turning and going back to comfort the sobbing brunette in the woman's room.
