(Pic of Isaac Palmer)

Julie Christensen was failing English.

"Miss Christensen," her teacher drawled in a monotone voice, "It's almost the end of the school year, and though you told me in February that you'd pick your grade up, you've yet to do so."

Julie almost successfully tuned her out, but she said, "Which is why I went to the principal, and took the liberty of appointing you a tutor for the remainder of the school year."

"Say what now?"

The teacher, Valerie Lewton, opened the classroom door, and motioned for someone to come in. A boy with brown hair, brown eyes, and a medium white skin tone followed Ms. Lewton into the room.

Ms. Lewton turned to Julie, "Julie Christensen, meet Tod Waggner."

Tod looked Julie up and down. "Aren't you Candice's sister?"

"No, I'm Wendy's sister," Julie snapped.

"Yeah, but-"

"Let me guess. Billy?" She asked. Tod nodded. "Billy is my stepbrother, but he and Candice are practically siblings," she said a little harshly.

Tod's phone went off, and he checked it. "Let me guess, girlfriend?" Julie questioned.

Tod shook his head. "Friend. Erin."

"Hold on. Preppy nerd Tod is friends with weird goth girl? How do you stand her?"

"Say one more bad thing and I'll flunk you, bitch," Tod snapped.

Ms. Lewton interrupted. "Tod! Watch your language, or I'll give you detention." She then exited the room, adding, "I'll let you two get to work."

"Wait," Julie muttered. "We're starting now?!"

---------------------

The rubbing alcohol on the table fell over when Isaac Palmer fell, as the table it was on was right next to Isaac.

It began poiring over the floor, spreading across the room, and around Isaac.

---------------------

Erin was texting Tod.

How's the tutoring going, Mr. Straight A's?

Shitty. I told her we were friends, and she went and asked me what I see in you.

What do you see in me?

Potential. Lots of potential.

But Toddy, I'm a weird goth girl.

So?

So, everyone thinks im destined for suicide.

I dont see you as the misery and razor blades type. Maybe you're an ex-girl scout rope-tying bipolar hanging from a tree type of girl?

Go choke in a bathtub, Waggner.

Random, much?

You bet!

Oh, shit.

What? Tell me tell me tell me

Grammar, please!

Grammar Nazi.

Yes, I am.

Tell meeeeeeee

Ok, ok. Julie's dragging me to Ming Yun Spa. Apparently, her BFF works there.

Erin laughed. "What's so funny, babe?" Ian asked, pulling her closer.

The two were currently at Erin's house, sitting on the recliner in the living room.

"You remember Tod, right?" Ian nodded. "Well, he's being forced to tutor Julie Christensen."

"Preppy wannabe Julie?" Ian barked out a laugh. "Oh, god! My sympathies."

Erin chuckled, before texting Tod back.

Hey, Straight A's.

Please dont tell me that's my new nickname.

Fine, i won't tell you.

Ass. What's up?

Ian sends his sympathies.

Aww, tell him thanks. Wish me luck.

Don't die.

Bitch.

Erin put her phone away.

---------------------

Isaac woke up, gasping hard.

He gripped the table, pulling himself up slowly.

An acupuncture, if done wrong, can kill you. But if you do it right, even falling on the needles isn't fatal.

Though it will hurt like a bitch.

Isaac pulled out a needle from his chest slowly, whimpering in absolute pain.

Then he got a call.

The phone was still on the shelf with a candle, and even worse, it was set on vibrate.

Isaac quickly rushed to the door as the candle was knocked on the alcohol soaked floor, creating a mini explosion, knocking him against two shelves, and he fell to the ground.

Laying on the floor, he noticed that the alcohol stopped a foot away from the door, as did the fire.

---------------------

Julie and Tod walked into Ming Yun Spa, and straight up to Perry, who was sweeping the lobby.

"Hey, Perry! What's up?" Julie asked.

"My shift ends in roughly a half-hour. After that, I told Amber we can have a sleepover at her house," Perry said excitedly.

"Good. Girl, I heard from a little birdie today that Terry cheated on Carter with-" Julie started, until Tod said, "I smell alcohol."

Julie and Perry took a breath, to notice that Tod was right. It wasn't strong, but there was a faint smell of burning alcohol, and Perry dropped her broom. She told Julie and Tod to stay in the lobby, walking towards where the smell was getting stronger.

What disturbed her, however, was that the smell was coming from the back room. Isaac Palmer's room, to be exact.

She opened the door to see Isaac on the floor next to the door, the broken table, and the burning alcohol all over the floor.

Both Isaac and Perry sighed. Isaac sighed out of relief, Perry sighed in exasperation.

That's when the shelf holding the Buddha broke, dropping onto Isaac's head, and covering Perry in blood and what could possibly be brain matter.

And with that, Perry's eyes rolled back into her head, and she dropped to the floor like a stone.
