It was a nice Saturday with your husband of three years. Steve and you were sitting on your porch listening to the sounds of the waves meeting the shore.

It was a calm day, and you decided to do something with Steve.

"Hey Stevie?"

"Yes Sunshine?"

"Would you like to do something?"

"What do you have in mind?"

"Well, I thought we could do some art. I could draw you, and you can draw me. It can be like a special moment we've had our maybe something you want to happen in our future. Or anything really, it doesn't have to be me. Ooo, you can also use whatever art media you want, and we aren't timed."

"I like that. How about we go inside to the art room though so we have close access to our supplies."

"Okay."

Steve took your hand in his and you both walked to the art room. Steve opted for acrylic paint and canvas, while you opted for your sketchbook and pencils.

"Okay Stevie, so how about we face each other, so we are surprised by each other's work."

"Okay, I'm gonna open the French doors so we can still hear the ocean okay?"

"Alrighty eheh."

You both began your artwork, and you knew exactly what you were doing. In fact you had been working on this for a while, and today you figured you'd be finished so you could give it to Steve.

For the most part, you couldn't see Steve since the canvas was rather large and hid his face. However you knew your Steve. Also sometimes when you'd try to look at him you'd notice him glancing from behind the canvas.

Soon it was nighttime and you were almost complete. The closer you got to finishing the more nervous you got for Steve's reaction. You wondered what he'd think of your art. You were also excited. You were especially excited to see how his artwork would turn out.

"Sunshine I'm finished. Do you want to see it now, or do you want to look at it together when you get done?"

"We can look at yours together first, and then look at mine together after. I'm almost finished."

"Take all the time you need Sunshine."

You smiled looking at him before writing on the page looking at it before closing you're sketchbook.

"Okay I'm finished. How about we sit with each other on the couch."

Steve nodded making sure you couldn't see his painting. You both moved to the couch and you held your sketchbook close.

"You ready y/n?"

"Yes."

He turned the canvas around, and you were in awe. It was a painting of you and Steve on the beach at sunset. You both were facing the ocean, and you were in front of him. His arms were wrapped around you, and your own were ontop of his. You both were looking at each other smiling in the painting, and the smiles you both had in the painting were contagious.

"Oh Steve. This is beautiful. I love it. We should hang it in the bedroom."

"I'm glad you like it. I'm excited to see yours."

You breathed in calming yourself. Then you handed him your sketchbook. He gladly took it opening it to the first page.

"I love you Steve. I love you too y/n." Steve chucked kissing your cheek.

Then he turned to the next page. It was of you and Steve on one of your first dates.

"From the moment we met, you had a special place in my heart."
