This is after the events of Avengers.
You were walking to the kitchen for a snack when you noticed Natasha and Steve talking. You were a very nosey person so you listened in on there conversation.
"Oh come on Steve, just let me set you up with someone. You're in your nineties and you probably haven't been kissed since the forties. Just one date."
You should've known. Nat really really likes to harass people when it comes to their romantic lives. You should know.
You walked in smiling. "Steve, honey I was looking for you. I was just fixing to go to the kitchen to get lunch, but now that I've found you, do you wanna go out to eat with me instead?"
You kissed his cheek and looked at Nat. "I've really got to teach him how to use his phone, but Stevie is always being stubborn." You giggled nuzzling your head into his shoulder trying to sell this fake relationship.
"Yes he is. Well I'm going to let you both go then." She walked off and you grabbed Steve's hand dragging him to your room. When you got there he stopped and leaned on your door.
"What was that?" He asked.
"Look, I heard what Nat said. Knowing her, she's probably said it to you a lot already. Same here. Look, how about we just.... Pretend we're dating. During that time we can try to look for people on our own. If we do then we can break up be pretended emotional and never have to hear Nat try to set us up again."
"Okay... What about our story?"
"I'll tell you telepathically okay. That way it's all the same."
"Alright l/n. Let's relationship."
You giggled slapping his chest before grabbing his hand walking out.
"Where are we going?"
"Well out to eat of course silly. You really are getting old and forgetful Mr America."
"Well I guess it's good I have such a beautiful young dame on my arm to help me remember then." He kissed your cheek.
Man you did not expect that to come out of Steven Grant Rogers mouth. You both walked out and walked to go get food at a little cafe.
That's when Steve mumbled, "she won't give up will she? We got company."
You talked to him in his head, "play footsies with me."
You began to tangle your feet with his. He even gave off a nice chuckle as he tried to tangle his feet more with yours.
Eventually you both left and went back to the tower. Steve kept his arm around your waist the whole way home.
Nat was already back. "How was your lunch?"
"You saw how it was Nat. Please don't follow Steve and me on our next date. Normally dates are just two people. Not to people and a tag along."
You felt Steve pull you closer to him and you looked up into his eyes.
"Oh doll, I love when you're so sarcastic" he hummed and before you could say anything he was kissing you. Steve Rogers was kissing you. Not the other way around. Maybe he should be an actor if being a superhero or artist didn't work out. You melted into the kiss right as he pulled away.
"I love that about you honey. I love a lot about you."
"Oh Stevie. I love you too." You kissed him this time. When you broke the kiss he picked you up and slung you on his shoulder caring you to the living room couch. Man, he was good.
