ashton made him dizzy.

with a smile as bright as the sun and pretty hazel eyes that reminded him of nature, it was no surprise that calum fell for him in an instant. but calum was a broken boy looking for a place and person to call home again and ashton was an innocent boy who got pulled into his tornado.

and as much as calum knew he was the winter and ashton, the innocent sunflower, he couldn't get himself to walk away.

he would stare at ashton from afar until the shorter boy strolled over to him with questioning eyes and rosy cheeks. calum would push him away and explain how much of a poison he was and that he didn't want to destroy the little sunflower known as ashton.

ashton would shake his head and smile, eyes shining, even in the darkness of calum's room, under the covers.

hailey would knock on the door or approach the pair but calum would push her away. she understood at first. then she realized that calum was spending more time with his newfound friend than he did with her. he would come home, clothes reeking of smoke paired with annoyed eyes on days that ashton didn't walk him home.

he would silently get into bed and fall asleep without a word to hailey. his 'i love you's got less as time went by.

he began to sleep in the guest room.

ashton began staying over more often.
