Ava's pov

I rush over to the mall to pick some necessaries. I'm in such a hurry because I have a huge appointment with a new customer madam P had introduced to me , I run in my flats and practically bump into someone and throwing what looks like an iPad and iphone on the floor.

I cover my mouth in shock and try to pick them up since I can't apologize, I was really sorry but I didn't know how to say it. I rub my hands together infront of him with a sorry face, indicating that I'm so sorry.  I hand them over to him when I see a scowl on his face, he collects them from me harshly and eyes me irritatedly.

"You ugly little thing, you fucking bumped into me and breaking my screen, and you can't even apologize,"

I look at him as tears leave my eyes without my consent. "You have got no manners " he says and walks away.
I hadn't carried my notebook with me to type a huge "IM SORRY", the fact that I was insulted because I couldn't say something hurt me more, I couldn't help the tears that had welled up in my eyes , finally I collected myself, trying to look calm as I cleaned my eyes, the pain from all the insult of my disability fluttered in my stomach as it tightened.
I hardly had friends, no one wanted to associate with a dumb gurl who converses with a notepad.

A woman with light brown hair and burgundy sleek gown walks through my office door with a smile that almost touched her eyes.

"Good day Ava, my name is Allison Knight but please call me miss A. You must've met madam P, she directed me here, I'm assuming you are?" She asked prolonging her sentence before I could finally process what she'd asked me, I pleasantly smile as I ruffle through my files, searching for an already written note of an introduction of myself.

"I'm Ava Williams, the CEO of The Tropical Diner, please have a seat,"

I watch miss A read the script a little audibly and when she was done she smiles pleasantly as she settled down.

"Thank you. I'm really sorry for-, you know what I mean," she said referring to my disability and I nodded slowly.

"Cut to the reason I'm here. I'm hosting a party here in London and P introduced me here, I really have a few meal request I'd like to introduce," she said as she rummaged her handbag, getting what she wanted, she shifted a paper to me and I read down the requests.

"When will we have it delivered?"

I wrote down and she replied. "Fortunately, Friday. The party's on-" she was cut through as she stared intently at my teary eyes.

"Oh my God, Ava are you crying?" miss A questioned, but as I attempted to clean the already streaming tears more drizzled down and I instantly fell embarrassed for acting so unprofessional.

"Did I- did I say something?" She asked and I shook my head indicating no.

"Then what could possibly make a successful, beautiful girl like you cry, something you wanna share?" She asked softly reaching in to grab a tissue from her bag as she handed it to me.

I picked my notebook and point out the whole scenario that had taken place earlier.

"Oh my God I'm so sorry," she says holding me after she had read my long note, she hugs me tightly knowing I can't explain myself.
