Naruto was standing at the front gate of Konoha. He just got traveling papers from Orochimaru to leave the village without being labeled as a missing-nin. Naruto had his traveling clothes on, which consisted of the clothes he had on his back, a spare, and his bag. Naruto was about to leave when he heard behind him "TOU-CHAN!". He turned around to see Gajeel, Natsu, and Wendy behind him. They all had tears in their eyes as they had been crying, "TOU-CHAN, WHY ARE YOU LEAVING?!" shouted Natsu through his tears
"YEAH OLD MAN, WHY ARE YOU LEAVING?!" shouted Gajeel
"DON'T LEAVE DADDY!" shouted Wendy. Naruto looked at them and gave them a small smile. He walked over to them as he crouched down and hugged them all. They hugged back as he said "I need to leave to get stronger,"
"W-hy can't you get stronger here?" asked Natsu
"Because... I need to travel, I need to grow stronger without putting you three in danger, I need to grow stronger to protect you three," replied Naruto
"B-but who's going to teach us?" asked Gajeel. Naruto smiled as he let them go from the hug "I want you three to learn by yourselves, learn techniques, learn strategy, learn to grow stronger without the help from someone, you only person who's holding you three back is you,". Naruto looked at his three children and said "Gajeel, you're strong and smart, but your downfall is not being social. Natsu, you're stronger than your brother, but you aren't smart enough yet, read more and learn from your mistakes. Wendy... you are the youngest of the three, but you have the potential to be the strongest, it's true that you may heal, but with your power you can be unstoppable,". They cried after the heard his words, they meant so much to them as they needed to grow stronger. Naruto then stood up as he saw Yushi, Mira, Lisanna, Elfman, Karin, Mystogan, Erza, Konohamaru, Moegi, and Udon run toward him. Naruto just smiled as he stood up. He looked at Mira and Yushi and said "Mira, Yushi, I leave them in your care... I can rely on you two to take care of them, right?"
"HAI!" the two girls said as he looked at all of them. He put magic into his voice as he spoke with a deeper tone that echoed throughout the village
"LISTEN TO ME! I LEAVE TODAY AND I SEE CHILDREN CRY! BUT WHEN I RETURN I WANT TO SEE MEN AND WOMAN CRY! WHEN I RETURN I WANT YOU ALL TO HAVE GROWN! MAY IT BE BRAWN OR BRAINS, GROWTH IS STILL GROWTH! MAY YOU BE BIG OR SMALL, LET NOTHING STAND IN YOUR WAY! IF THERE ISN'T A PATH TO BE MADE THEN MAKE ONE! WHY IS THIS... IT'S BECAUSE YOU ARE PART OF FAIRY TAIL!" Naruto then made an 'L' sign and stuck it in the air

"WHEN YOU MAKE THIS SIGN IN THE AIR, ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT WE ARE WATCHING OVER EACH OTHER! ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT SOMEONE YOU LOVE IS WATCHING YOU FROM ABOVE! ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT WE ARE FAMILY!". Naruto then turned away, still making the sign as they all cried tears of joy. When Naruto was far enough away to not see them, he let down his hand as he continued to walk. Naruto looked up at the sky and said "they will remember this day... the day that they remember that they are family,". Naruto then walked further until he couldn't even see Konoha. All the while he thought 'I wonder how strong they'll get?'
