You'd think that after the Oracle decided to take a little walk down to see Zoe, that it would at LEAST have the decency to walk back to where it came and hobble back up into the attic.
But nope.. instead, Travis and Conner Stoll from Hermes Cabin had to carry her all the way back up into the attic, being careful not to bump her head on every single little door frame along the way..
Of course a Servant would've done it quicker, but nobody trusted Kiyohime not to keep it for herself (she has a weird obsession with the oracle since it can only tell truths) , or Shakespeare not to suddenly stop what he was doing and start writing plays, and of course Liz had a massive dislike for gross things like corpses.. which was ironic since her older self which she didn't remember didn't have any issues with draining women of their blood and bathing in it..
(I'm very sure after how far Liz has come, she would be mortified to learn what she became... so.. shhhh.. nobody tell.. she's got enough problems..)
And all things considered, me and Thalia and the other campers all needed to get ready for the Camp Meeting.
Whenever a serious issue happened in camp, whether it was discussing how to accommodate future Berserker Class Servants that would eventually come to camp, or perhaps discussing putting in the add for a dragon to guard the pine tree with the Golden Fleece, The Camp Councilors from each cabin gathered with Mr. D.. and Chiron in the Big House's Rec Room.
Using the Ping Pong table with a bunch of chairs and Lays Potato chip bags provided by Mr. D, we seated around to discuss the prophecy.. which nobody had ever witnessed in living memory from the Oracle actually hobbling down to meet us..
Travis and Conner Stoll arrived last after making sure the Oracle was put back and as the Councilor of Servant Cabin, I was present, though Mordred had tagged along too, lurking around in the back, munching a few potato chips. Thalia and Percy were there too, as the only people in their cabins and therefore the default leaders.
Being in a bad mood, I was more hungry than usual, which was saying plenty, so nobody complained when I grabbed all the bags by an armful and began stuffing potato chips into my mouth at hyper speed.. so the background of the meeting was filled with a "munch munch munch" sound, much to my embarrassment.. and the sad part was, my embarrassment only served to upset me a little more, making me eat faster..
I needed to find a better outlet..
"Alright." said Chiron who sat in his wheel chair at the end of the table with Mr. D. "We're here to discuss the prophecy.. as such, the Oracle in all my years has never done anything like this-.."
"I cannot see WHY we stay here like this when RIGHT now Artemis NEEDS our help!!" Zoe growled.
She was accompanied by Atalanta and Bianca, which I found strange considering she was new.. I eyed Bianca in interest as I continued to chomp more chips. She seemed to be far stronger and more outgoing than before.. her hair pulled back in a pony tail.. and her hat off, revealing the splash of freckles over her face.. and a set of prideful eyes that seemed oddly familiar.
"Calm down now Zoe.." said Chiron. "We need to analyze the prophecy, figure out what it needs you to do, where it wants you to go.."
"WEST!" said Bianca suddenly. "That's what the prophecy said right? I mean, it can't be any clearer!"
"Yes, but where west exactly?" said Beckendorf in his slow, calm, reasonable voice. "It's not as if having the prophecy come true will necessarily result in success.."
"Yes, for example, 'One will be Lost in a Land without rain.'" said Will Solace of the Apollo cabin. "If I were you, I'd avoid deserts. Plus this is our quest as much as it is yours.."
