A Night In The Woods

Lexis and his father, Gabriel were planning a family vacation. The majority of his family had voted to camp in the woods. His father rented a RV and they took off the next morning.

About 4:00 o' clock after arriving in the woods, Lexis heard a knock at the door. "I got it!", yelled Lexis.

He opened the door to find nothing there, except a red hand print on the

door, without a thumb. Thinking nothing more of it, Lexus walked back to the portable television and continued watching his show. As the show finished he dosed off.

In his dream a young man, who looked like Lexis' father was being chased by a creature. The man had blood covering his shirt and his left thumb was

dismembered. He ran to a RV and began knocking, panicked.

Lexis could now make out details of the creature. It was a crimson creature. It had small horns on it's head and it was standing on it hind legs, and for feet, it had hooves. It grabbed the young man by the neck and pulled him away.

Lexis awoke and shot up out of the small chair, panting. He walked outside to find hoof prints in the gravel. He didn't want to follow them, but his curiosity got the best of him. He followed the path to a well. He glanced back to make sure no one was there.

Suddenly, the bushes to his right rattled. A bloody thumb that had to

belong to the young man in his dream was near the bush. Lexis' body stiffened up, the appearance on his face changed to dread and horror.

He could make out a back of something behind the bushes. It stood up, blood

covered it's face and it screeched at him. Lexis made a run to the RV and the

creature ran after him. His steady run turned into an anticipated sprint. He

knew that if he looked back he would've been a meal for this beast. He dived through the RV's door and slammed it behind him.

He looked out the window to see that the creature was dismissing the

chase. "Something had stopped him" Lexus said to himself."Stopped what?"asked his mother. "That thing!"Lexis said pointing out the window.

His mother then pulled him backward, grabbed a crucifix and started quoting lines from the bible. After they were sure the beast was gone, Lexis asked where his dad was.

"He went out to gather some firewood near the well.", said his mother. Lexis broke down knowing what had happened.
