1978, that's when it happened, the Cherry Eye tragedy. In 1975, Isaac and Dakota Walton opened their very own doll factory in a small town in Canada named Miksol. Isaac had always wanted to own a doll factory and not long after their wedding, he and Dakota had decided to open one up. It was the first doll factory in town. They decided to call their dolls "Cherry eyes".

Cherry eyes became very popular in Miksol within short time. They had a unique, realistic look. They actually looked like real people. Their hair felt real, even their size was realistic. Cherry eye dolls had everything to attract children. They all wanted one, just like teens now-a-days want a pair of beats or an Iphone 6.

The doll factory wasn't very big. The retail store was in the front and in the back there was a studio where Isaac made his dolls. Meanwhile, Dakota would place them on the shelves, and mange the customers and business. The dolls were expensive, so they made lots of money. With time, the dolls started to look even more realistic.

Isaac was even more passionate about the dolls as the days went by, His factory was very popular for a year or two, until Dakota was killed in a tragic car accident, where she was driving on a bridge but then lost control and crashed straight into the river. Her body remained trapped in the car when they recovered it.

About two days before the funeral, Dakota's body went missing. They never found the body after that so they never held the funeral.

A few months went by and Isaac was just starting to get over Dakota. He couldn't give up on the doll factory either so he continued to make the dolls and ran the business by himself, with a few new employees. A few months later, an inspector came in to look around while Issac's employees were taking care of the store. Upon finishing his inspection, the inspector ordered everyone to leave the store, including all employees and he called in the cops.

The dolls had turned out to be embalmed and plastified corpses, imported from Mexico. Isaac paid an association to kill people and import their bodies to Canada, so that he could make dolls with them. He emptied the bodies, stuffed them with feathers, embalmed them and then plastified them. The shelves in the Cherry eyes store were full of plastified corpses.

The police then rushed to Isaac's home to arrest him. They knocked down the door to find him eating peacefully eating at the kitchen table with a woman. But when they got closer they realized that it was Dakotas plastified body, the one that was never found.

Isaac was convicted of murder and executed several months later. He was embalmed and plastified and then buried.

In 1978, the store shut down but the people in Miksol were never told why. The authorities were afraid to create an unwanted drama so they kept it a secret. Therefore, children continued playing with their Cherry eye dolls, not knowing what was under that plastic.

Around 15 years later, another factory opened in Miksol right where the Cherry eye factory used to be. It was another doll factory.
