The Fire

i remain anonymous fer personal reasons but this happend wen i was about 7 or 8

my cousin an i wer playing in her front yard with matches, it was really dark except fer like the glare of porch lights on and her front light she lived out far in a ranch it seemd like they just threw the houses anywere like wen we went to her backyard it was the side of someones house an on the side of her house was the back of anothers her yard was pretty big but anyways we started playin with that matches an didnt want her mom to wake up an see us so we went to the back we wer throwin them an turnin them off then we threw on just a little to far and it got to big really FAST an went on the house in the back we ran inside so fast an pretended we wer asleep we finally fell asleep wen awhile later her mom woke us and asked how long wer we outside it was still dark out but we told her we never went outside after all we stayed up watchin t.v and fell asleep we asked why wat happend wen she told us are hearts sank the house had burned down and the ladt that lived there never made it out,the fire department was calld in to late and she burned alive in there the next day we went to check things out but police wer there an yellow caution strips were everywhere as we were about to walk away i saw something ill never ferget and it scared the hell out of me my cousin an i both saw her all burned it was her ghost she just stared at us with a sad face face that was half burned off..a couple years have passed im 14 now and until this day it haunts me i can smell the smell of burning fire every now an then..and yes i have guilt in me from that it there was a rewind button i would use it
