Hey guys, this happened to my friend Jaleesa and me and we're still horrified about it.
One day my best friend Jaleesa calls me up and tells me her dad got cruise ship tickets from work(he won some contest)and that there was 5 of them. There was only 4 people in her family so they said I could come if I wanted.I agreed and a week later we were on the first day of the cruise.Me and Jaleesa were having the time of our lives. The next day we decided to check out this mini antique shop a deck bellow. When we got there with her mom there was this really pretty antique trunk about the size of a toy chest. It smelled a bit but her mom said it was probably just the dust and stuff.Jaleesa liked it so much, her mom bought it for her.The woman that sold it to us told us there was something wrong with the lock. They never found a key and they couldn't get the trunk open.We just figured I could help them open it later. So we ignored it for the rest of the cruise.A week later we were back home and I was staying the night with Jaleesa. We decided we would try and open the trunk. We couldn't figure out a key that would work,so she helped me pick the lock.(I'm a trouble maker so I'm good with lock picking). The lock clicked open and we were really excited. We opened the trunk and both screamed bloody murder!Inside the trunk was a skelleton of about a 12 or 13 year old girl. She had on a blue dress that looked really old.She had a piece of paper and a crayon in her hand.Jaleesa, being so freakin brave, reached in and grabbed the paper really fast. She opened it and in messy writing it said "I've been hiding all day and they still didn't find me.I've never been found before so thats no suprise.I think I'll wait a little longer because I cant get the trunk open".We ran and told her dad who came and checked it out.We called the police and they came and took the trunk away.3 days later,I was staying with her again. The police called and asked for the both of us.We had the phone on speaker. The police officer that took the trunk away gave us the most horrifying news of our lives. He told us."That little girl you found in the trunk is 63 years old.She just happened to be playing hide and seek. She didn't realize she locked herself in.Congratulations.You both just found the unfinable hide and seeker."
