Always and Forever-Part 2

"Give us a moment please." Elijah took a step closer to Sophie.

We were now sitting in a crypt lit by a thousand candles. Elijah didn't need to introduce himself to me. I know all about the Mikaelson family.

"Have they been holding you here against your will?" He asked, pacing the room

"They lured me here, me and my friend Hayley; to the bayou and grabbed me. They performed spells and tested my blood and any other bodily functions to understand how this happened, and they didn't find an answer. I tried to siphon magic from the spells they performed on me but it didn't work because of the personalized shackles they made me." I looked at the gentle man next to me who looked sympathetic to me

"I'm Marie, by the way" I gently smiled at him holding out my hand for him to shake but instead he tore off my shackles, I look down and see bruises from the shackles on my wrists

"I know you know my family's history, and I cannot excuse my brother's behavior. But you must understand that our father hunted him. Hunted us for centuries. Every time we found a moment of happiness, were forced to flee," Elijah told me, as he stood up walking around again. "Even here in New Orleans, here we were happiest of all. Not long after Niklaus broke the spell which prevented him from becoming a hybrid, he defeated our father."

I raised my eyebrows impressed with his bravery.

"I hoped this would make him happy," Elijah shook his head to say it didn't, "He was angrier than ever. I wonder if perhaps the babies might be a way for my brother to find happiness. A way to save him from himself."

I look at Elijah and become overwhelmed with joy. twins?

Elijah had convinced Klaus to help the witches with their, problem and he convinced the witches to let me stay with them. But where's Hayley?

I was removing some sheets from the furniture but then i started to cough due to the collecting dust.

"Are you alright?" Elijah asked walking into the room and stood next to me

"Just dust," I smiled softly and set the sheet down, "This is a old house." I acknowledged.

"No, are you okay?" Elijah asked facing me.

"I miss my friend Hayley, I've been with her for so many years. She's family to me. I'd feel more at home if she was with me.

"I will get her to you as soon as possible. This home will serve our purposes, It's sanctuary from our business in the quarter. Right now, you're the most important person in the family. Anyone who is family to you is family to us. I will move a bed into your bedroom so you can keep your friend close. Elijah smiled at me

"I have a question" I said to the Original

"Anything" Elijah said to me gently before reaching out to take my hand so we can sit down on the couch

"I'm having twins?" I ask him

Elijah smiles at me, "Your children have the strongest heartbeat I've ever heard"

I smiled at my children

"You're happy to be a mother" Elijah took notice

"Yes I am. My mother sent me away when I was only 1 or 2 and I never knew my father, I never knew my parents. I lived with a coven of witches who feared me, they sent me off when i was just 13. I had to grow up quickly and take care of myself. I have the chance to do right by my children. I have two little somebodies to love more than humanly possible and I have the opportunity to make sure they never know what it's like to lose their mother and not know their father. Or to grow up unloved"

Elijah gave me a sympathetic look before speaking "I will always protect you. You have my word on that."

I looked at Elijah and I felt that i can trust every word he was saying.

"And Noble Elijah always keeps his word," Klaus said from the doorway.

"Is it done?" Elijah asked Klaus

"As a matter of fact, yes. Your underhanded deal worked quite well. Marcel was only too happy to accept my blood, even as he accepted my heartfelt apologies. His man, Thierry yet lives and I remain a welcome guest in the French Quarter," Klaus walked further into the room. "My concern now is this coven of impudent witches"

"I believe them to be honorable," Elijah expressed. "They did release Marie to me, although they haven't been entirely forthcoming. Marcel obviously has something they need. They don't want him dead, there must be a reason why."

"I don't mean to interrupt your plotting but if I'm going to stay here I have some requests" both brothers looking at me.

Klaus smiled at me "Ah, I see your bravery remains uninhibited."

I want Hayley to stay with me. She's like my sister and I feel the safest with her near."

Klaus laughed. "Hayley?"

I get up from the couch and I walk towards Klaus, "Please Klaus. If she's found walking around the Quarter, Marcel will kill her. Please, we came together to help find answers regarding her family. Offer her the same protection you offered me."

"I already offered to place a bed in the bedroom Marie is staying in." Elijah said

"Thank you." I said, "One more thing."

Klaus rolled his eyes at me, "What now?"

I smile at the brothers, "You let me take care of myself."

I walk away from the Originals and go to the other room to call Hayley
