"It's really fucking messed up." I say rummaging through Jaeden's cabinets. His mom is in the middle of a vegan face, so all the snacks are shit, but I'm stressed so I'll eat anything.
"You don't know the whole story." A girls voice says, making me turn around from the snack pile. Lilia. I almost forgot she was here. Quite frankly I'm the one that isn't supposed to be here. It's their date night, but I had to talk to Jaeden. After seeing London with Noah at school I ditched Finn and Jack at our spot and went straight home, but sitting alone in my room with no alcohol and junk food near by wasn't helping.
"Ok than tell me the whole story." I turn back to the cabinet and grab the first thing with a calorie count over 200 I can find. It's some bag of off brand chips, but with the vegan guacamole I found in the fridge it should be fine. Once I have all my food I turn back around to the happy couple. Lilia isn't talking.
"I don't know it." She finally opens her mouth after I stare at her for a few seconds.
"Exactly." I open the chips and shove a handful in my mouth. "Got any beer?" I ask when I notice neither of them have a drink in their hands. Looks like Lilia is turning Jaeden soft after all.
"My mom doesn't drink remember." Jaeden says.
"I didn't ask if your parents had any, I asked if you did." I smirk.
"Bathroom cabinet." Jaeden mumbles, as if he doesn't want Lilia to know. Fuck girls for always taking away our fun. I leave them alone for a minute to go into Jaeden's room to grab the beer. It's room temperature, which is to be expected, but it's fine. After taking a sip I head back down to continue on the chips and guac. Lilia and Jae went back to the living room, where they were when I interrupted the date. They were watching a movie, probably meant to end up as Netflix and Chill. Anyone could tell by their appearances they planned to do it tonight. He is only wearing a t-shirt and a belt for easy take off. She is wearing a dress for minimal take off. Their smart kids, ya know.
I sit at the kitchen counter, in a position where I can still see them and the TV, but they don't need to see me. I don't watch the movie though, I watch them. Being a happy fucking couple. His arm is around her, her hand possibly on his thigh. It's pretty cute I guess. He starts looking at her not the movie, and she damn well knows it. He starts kissing her neck, and I realize looking away might be best. I look down at my snack, which is starting to taste like vegan so I decide to put it away. While putting the chips back I notice Lilia's phone on the counter, and I find myself checking for a password. Nothing, which is a stupid move but I guess she trusts her friends. And maybe it was the beer, maybe it was the fact that the cutest couple ever was in the room over, maybe it was the fact that I wanted to kiss someone really bad at that moment, but I found myself texting London on Lilia's phone.
Are you with Noah now or something?
Jaeden saw you in the hallway.
