Michael stayed down stairs for the night, watching as it continued to rain, seeing that Calum had left the backyard. Michael knew that Calum had gone back to the forest, most likely not long after he had come inside. Praying that he hadn't screwed up everything between he and Calum, Michael lay on the couch, the television on a random music channel that was softly playing. He was going to stay up until he got the chance to talk to Calum.

He knew that he shouldn't have walked away so easy, he should have done something, but no, he ran off, because he started to regret it, knowing that Calum couldn't love him. No one loved people like Michael, well at least that's what Michael has always thought. He always has thought that his parents have loved him because they had too, it was just what Michael always has thought. Well maybe not before his mom died, he knew that his parents loved him then, but after she died, Michael started to think that his dad only loved him when his mother was around.

As Michael tried to stay awake the whole night to see if Calum would come inside, he sadly started to fade into the darkness that was his dream world. As perusal, Michael's dream state was filled with the forest, somehow moving through it, it was like he wasn't in his own body.

When he fights his dreams tossing and turning, he felt as if he was being picked up. Fighting to open his eyes, he is able to open them just the slightest bit, seeing that he was being picked up. His eyes fly the rest of the way open, trying to move in the persons grip that was carrying him.

"Calm down Michael." The person softly whispers, making Michael calm down. It was just Calum, that made Michael happy, but worried, did Calum hate him for kissing him? No, Calum wouldn't have come back if he hated Michael right?

"Calum..." Michael's voice was faint, but Calum had heard him, no doubt there. Calum sadly smiles at the boy in his arms, moving through the house that he had come to memorize only hours before.

"It's alright Mikey, just go back to sleep." Calum softly uttered to the boy, who was now closing his eyes once again; cuddling into Calum's chest, getting a hold of Calum's shirt that seemed to now loosen what so ever. Not that Calum cared, he was happy that Michael had this action.

He mad his way into Michael's bedroom, laying the boy down on his bed and covering him with the duvet. Calum smiled when Ollie came into the room tiredly jumping onto the bed with a couple of weak tries before finally curling up at the end of Michael's bed. Calum turned to leave the room, making it to the door before Michael started uttering things in his sleepy state.

"Calum... Don't leave me... Please don't hate me now... I love you..." Calum's breathing stopped for a second at Michael's words. He'd never leave the other boy, he couldn't hate him; but love him back... Calum didn't know much about love. He did remember what his mother would tell him -for the short time that he knew her at least- she would always say that love, was something that came to you unexpected, it just hit's you with a force that you wouldn't ever think possible. It was also one of the most amazing feelings in the world.

Calum loved Michael, but he wasn't sure if it was the way that Michael wanted him too. Maybe one day he would, but would it end up being too late by then, or would it be perfect timing? But you can't put a time limit on love now can you?

Several hours later, Michael awoke, thinking that what had happened to him was just a dream. Trying to brush off the the feeling he made his way from his room to the living room. Coming in he didn't scan the room very clearly, first thing he had seen was the clock telling him it was about six in the morning. Why in the world did he wake up? He knew that there was no way that he hadn't gone to sleep before three, so now why is he awake three hours later?

Michael groaned turned to leave the room when his eyes finally look at the couch. A somehow small looking Calum curled up with a blanket over him. Michael gasped, shocked that the boy did come back, and then realizing that his dream wasn't truly a dream. Not knowing why, but he moved over to Calum shaking his shoulder lightly while saying his name, "Calum. Wake up."

The other boy slowly stirred, eyes fluttering, then snapping open at the sight of Michael. Springing up and grabbing the older boy in a hug, neither could stop smiling.

"I'm sorry." Michael had been the first to speak up, knowing that to himself he was sorry for what he had done before, but to Calum he was. It was stupid for Michael to pull something like that, childish maybe, but to Michael it was right at the time, and nothing would change that.

"It's alright Mikey. I promise." Calum didn't want to hear the apology, he didn't care all that much anymore. Calum didn't want anything to be weird between the two of them, and so he wasn't going to let it be. He wanted it back to way that it was hours ago, Michael showing Calum the weird and idiotic things that he had been missing out on. And now, not even Calum cared that he wasn't normal, he was someone that he liked being, and he was going to keep changing, and he liked the idea of that.

The two were going to get over the differences and obstacles that they had. Their friendship meant more to them, then just about everything else in their lives. Most likely their lives were better with the other one.
