after being in san francisco for almost a whole day, stingy realized he had no food, water, or a place to go. despite being literally made of money, stingy was very stupid and didn't plan things ahead of time. so, upon deciding that he could worry about where he is going to go later, stingy decided to go grocery shopping.
stingy walked into the near empty target. it was unsettlingly quiet, but stingy was fine with that. it was nice to find a quiet place in such a noisy city. he roamed the aisles, mainly just trying to kill some time, before he settled on buying a loaf of bread and a jug of milk. yes, stingy was very rich as a child and still was to this day, but he didn't want to get a lot of stuff considering he had nowhere to go.
he walked up to the register, for which there was no line, and was met with an average yet lanky looking awkward young man.
