Chapter 9 - Luke Chaser

Earlier That Day...

Luke paced around the room. Sofia hadn't been answering any of his calls. This wasn't like her, she always had her phone on her.

Luke pulled out his phone and called Lucy. She picked up on the first ring.

"Hey Luke, I was just about to call." Lucy sounded like she had been crying.

"Hey Lucy, are you alright?"

"Not really, I had a fight with Sofia last night and now she won't answer any of my calls!"

Luke's heart skipped a beat, "So she isn't with you?"

"No, I haven't seen her since last night and I've tried calling her all day. I even went to her house but she isn't anywhere!"

Luke collapsed onto the lounge. Sofia was missing! Where could she be? They were getting married tomorrow! Luke felt as if he had been stabbed through his heart.

"Luke? Luke?!" Lucy was panicking.

"She's missing." That's all Luke was able to say. He wasn't thinking straight.

"What do you mean? Isn't she with you?" Lucy was freaking out, "I'm going to call Maddi, we should meet up somewhere."

Luke just nodded.

"Luke? Luke?! Okay, I'm going to get Maddi and pick you up to go to the police. Stay right where you are!"

Lucy hung up and Luke just stared at his phone.

Sofia was missing.

Without Sofia, his life felt meaningless.

Luke shook his head and stood up. He grabbed his keys and got in the car.

He was finding Sofia.
