Head down and feet in. Head down and feet in. Why does he want me? Why does everyone want me? I had so many questions, and no time to ask at this moment like usual. A part of me wanted to know who Michael was and why he was such a threat, let alone why he knew me and apparently wanted me. Something told me it was for all the wrong reasons though. All these questions racing around in my head like shooting stars. I'll have a head ache soon, this happens all the time.
I'm in the back seat of 'Lo's truck cuddling with a blanket I hadn't known I was laying under on Howard's lap. He was asleep though. It's almost morning, I'd say we had school tomorrow but it'll only be Sunday. I lifted myself up and felt a tug on my waist as I noticed Howard's hold on me. Tight as shit. I moved his arms and hopped in the front seat to see a smiling Angelo and my cell phone in the cup holder. I turned down the StarLife he had playing to speak and look for a new song to play.
"Why're we on a highway? Where did we go?" I couldn't help but notice the Welcome To Detroit sign above us as we passed by. He giggled before answering "The Vu Baby Girl. You don't remember? We all went out and Scarr found you, so once he started shooting looking for you we all dipped." He explained like it was normal, but it was something in his eyes that'd told me otherwise. I grew curious.
"Where are Kennedy, Amir, and Marissa?"
"Home already. Kennedy wanted to come with us but Amir made her stay with him so we'd have less to worry about."
"Home where?"
"My house."
"Amir too?"
"Yes ma'am. He and the girls got there a few hours ago but they've been sleep."
"What happened after we left the club? Saginaw is only an hour and a half away."
"I took you to my safe house and watched you while Howard left to get some air and a smoke."
"And that took all night?"
"I would've left him, but you love him I couldn't leave him like that."
"Only because I love him? That's your bro."
"I'm more of bros with Amir but you're right. But Howard ain't the most loyal nigga, you can't trust him like that unless it's money."
That one made me think... He wanted to start over but I keep second guessing his loyalty to me. I don't think I'd be able to deal with him and other girls again... not again. Maybe just one last try.. One last chance and I'll be done if he fucks up. I found Wife Snatcher and couldn't help but play it.. well on my phone this time. I plugged in the cord so it could play on the radio and began to rap along with Rosay.
"Fuck it. It's different bitches every other week. Fuck a hoe forget her name befoe we hit the sheets. I'll fuck the bitch good and put her ass on keek. E'rrr Bitch know my name, before I hear to speak. I'm known to fuck a bitch 'til her legs start shaking. Ain't got time for hoes I ain't got allot a' patience. Once a bitch outta line I call a replacement. And if I like the bitch you fuckin' consider her taken." The rat came out of me as Angelo laughed at how into the song I was before he sang the rest of Rosay's verse. "500 for some shoes same color as mud. I'm the shit don't touch me bitch I charge for hugs. Talkin down gone get you whacked I handled the buzz, and nine times outta ten yo bitch wantin the plug. Part two I'm still making hoes pussy squirt. Same nigga run a bitch til she say she hurt !" I yelled back shots as he continued ,"I ain't have to play sports that's a bitches work. A off rhythm ass nigga but my wrists jerk."
I began to rap along to Thabo after Angelo finished the chorus "Born rich gang nigga I was born paid. I stay crispy. Bitch! And I still made it. This new banks in my ear snatched yo boo thang, it's levels to this shit nigga we in different lanes. Hoes choosin' cause they like the way my Joe's fit. Ain't shit changed I ain't no got love for no bitch. But I'll snatch you real quick and leave you hopeless, fuckin with my shooter they'll leave a nigga noseless." We sang the song back and forth until it was over, cracking up while doing so. Howard was still sleep as we got to Angelo's house to drop him off. But we still sat in the drive way after Howard went inside. I looked at him.
