Feeling someone bump into him, Seokjin finished his conversation with a satisfied customer before starting to turn around to greet whoever slammed themselves into him.

"Jin...?" He froze, instantly recognising the owner of the voice. "Jin, that is you, isn't it? It's okay, I'm not with anyone, you don't have to worry." He immediately sighed out of relief and turned around to face the man. He was met with a warm smile that quickly melted his worries away. "Hi Namjoon.. H-how have you been? Got into trouble lately?" He took a step back to give the man some personal space. "Nothing too bad, at least I hope not." He laughed, his dimples popping out. Seokjin couldn't help but laugh too - Namjoon's laugh was contagious. "That's good then..." It was then that he noticed another set of eyes on him. A girl, sitting at the same table as Namjoon.

"Hello!" She said cheerily to him. Jin looked back at Namjoon in shock. "I thought you said you weren't going to get involved with an outsider.." He whispered into his ear, so the girl couldn't hear. Namjoon just gave him a regretful look, and motioned for the lady to come forward. "Min Soyeon, Kim Seokjin. Kim Seokjin, Min Soyeon." He pointed to both of them as they stood there, each looking slightly awkward.

"H-hi Soyeon.." Jin mumbled. She smiled at him, despite feeling incredibly out of place. "Hello, Jin." She paused. "Is it okay if I shorten your name like that? Sorry, I kinda did it without thinking.." Both men laughed at her comment. "Yeah sure, Joon calls me that all the time." She smiled, but seemed to tense up a little at the mention of Namjoon. "So, uh, you two know each other?" She asked, still feeling slightly out of place.

They looked at each other, before looking back at Soyeon. "Yeah. Long story short, he helped me out with something, and in return I gave him an entire chain of restaurants to manage. Oh, he's also a chef, and has plenty of experience managing..things..already, so it's not like I just dumped it on him." Namjoon laughed as he finished his little introduction of Seokjin. Soyeon smiled at them both, feeling a little less awkward knowing that neither of them were about to start arguing or anything.

"That's kind of you to do that, Namjoon. He must have really helped you out." She smiled at Jin again, happy knowing that Namjoon had helped him. As weird as it sounds, it made her more strongly believe that he wasn't just a selfish money driven businessman. Not that she really thought that to begin with.

Seokjin nodded. "So, Soyeon, this may sound out-of-the-blue, but I was wondering if you had a brother? It's just, you look kind of similar to someone I recently hired, and he has the same surname as you." Seokjin asked. "Her brother is called Yoongi." Namjoon answered his question to her. "Yes, Yoongi was his name. He's a lovely person, really friendly to all the other members of staff. He's here now if you want..." Jin glanced at Namjoon and Soyeon, and they both nodded to him. "Great! I'll lead you to him, he should be on a break right now."

They followed Seokjin through a small crowd of people as he led them to the kitchen. Sure enough, Yoongi was there, scrubbing away at a particular spot on the table. "Yoongi, I believe this is your sister?" He turned around, and as soon as his eyes landed on Soyeon he broke out into the biggest gummy smile and walked straight over to her.

"Y-Yoongi... you never told me you got a j-job..." Soyeon sounded so overwhelmed at the thought of her brother actually working somewhere nice. He smiled again, and rubbed her shoulders. "What do you think I was doing when I went away for so long? I was trying to get a job, hun, for us. I know you're a student so you have financial troubles anyway, but with...everything else...t-that happened..." He sighed. "It's really nice here, and Seokjin, who by the looks of things you've already met, is super nice. He's a great boss. And rich." He chuckled at his last statement. Soyeon glanced over her shoulder to see Namjoon giving her a warm smile at her, before he moved his focus to Yoongi.

"So you're the owner of that cat." He smiled. "She's a lovely cat, but I don't think she likes me..tried to attack me as soon as she saw me. Crazy." Both Namjoon and Yoongi laughed at that, and Yoongi shook his hand. "Yes, I am indeed the owner of Katie. Who," he looked at Soyeon, "I would very much like to take back. I forgot last time, but this time I will get her off your bed." She smiled.

"We'll leave you two for just a second," Jin interjected, "I just want a quick chat with Joon - catch up on things. Yoongi, it is your break, you can stop working for a bit you know." Seokjin grabbed Namjoon's arm and led him outside, leaving the siblings behind. As they got to a quiet alley, his face instantly turned serious.

"What the fuck. Explain. Now!" Seokjin growled. Namjoon sighed and looked down, avoiding eye contact. "S-she's the girl I told you about ages ago. The one who was always on the roof. She, um, I had plans to introduce myself to her one night, but she came late and then it had turned out that some guy had been horrible to her and then she thought her friend had helped the bad guy and then it turns out the bad guy is Nam Eunsoo and the—"

"Nam Eunsoo? Isn't he part of your father's..group?!" Seokjin interrupted. Namjoon sighed. "Yeah. One of those bastards. Anyway, turns out that her friend had no idea that his boss - Eunsoo's also his boss - was going to assault her. And then my father c-called and told me to stop looking into Eunsoo or else he'd...get rid of my..you know..my producing stuff. He said he'd get rid of every computer, every piano, every song sheet, every notebook, everything. He seemed REALLY pissed. Like normally he'd just threaten me with violence, but I guess he realised what actually works. I can't help but think that there's something more going on, but I don't know what. It's not like Soyeon would need any of their services..would she?" Namjoon looked into Seokjin's eyes, pleading.

"Is she a student? She looks like she could be." He nodded. "Students often do a lot of drugs. She doesn't really look like the sort of person to do that but..I don't know maybe she's just getting into it. I wouldn't completely rule it out. Can't judge a book by it's cover or whatever. If it's not that then I really don't know what it is. There's no way she'd need any other services." He sighed.

"Seokjin, I know you're angry at me for potentially involving an outsider but I...I can't help but feel obliged to protect her. Earlier when we were eating she called me Joonie and I..I think I liked it.." Namjoon turned his head away, embarrassed. Jin's eyes widened slightly. "You like her? Namjoon, this is great! I never thought this would happen! Like I know you said how you thought she was gorgeous but I know most gorgeous people either  have a horrible personality or have a lot of issues. Most of my girls had a lot of problems, and they were beautiful. You get me? For you to, after spending time with her, still say you like her.... Namjoon?"

Seokjin noticed that he was shaking a little. Bringing his fingers to his chin, he lifted his head a little to reveal a watery-eyed Namjoon. "I just..I don't know if I can do it." Namjoon softly admitted. "The last important woman was stripped out of my life for...getting involved with this shit and now..Soyeon.. I can't get her into it. This time I w-will be responsible. I don't...want to do that to her. Jin, you know what it's like. I don't want to harm her in any way. I can't let her in." He said between sniffles. Jin softened as he brought the man in for a hug.

"I hate to say it, but I think she's already in too deep."
