Dating an elf was no easy thing to begin with. Dating an elf who works for the Magic Task works is even harder. Kandomere was rarely home, always busy and cold as usual. He rarely spoke about his cases but if he did it was pure disgust. Why did someone like have to deal with so many idiots?
You were sitting on the couch watching a TV show that you've seen at least 10 times before. Although Kandomere and you have been dating for a while you still felt weird in his home. You tried to not make a mess while eating chips. He'd probably lecture you about it. He did open up a little to you but it was still far from a normal relationship. He was learning and accepting though. And you knew he loved you very much, he was just bad at showing it.
As if you've spoken of the devil, you heard the front door open. You looked up in surprise since this was no time for him to be home yet. Normally it was around 2 AM.
"Kandomere?", you asked and tried to get a better look at the entrance hallway.
"Yes, it's me", he said and walked into the living room.
He was dressed the way you loved and liked him: a fancy looking suit, a lot of gold and his hair slick and straight. Sophisticated. You admired him so much. He was perfect. To you and in general. He walked over to you and kissed you.
"How was work?", you asked as usual.
"Busy", he gave back.
Yep, that was him.
"Why are you back so soon?"
"I had to deal with two idiots again. They're the reason why the whole department needed to work extra shifts. But they claim they didn't see anything at all", he explained.
Wow, this was more than you ever imagined. You wanted to know more since you were intrigued but decided to loosen up the situation.
"Did you believe them?"
"Not a single word they said"
He smiled a little and sat next to you. You lifted his arm up and wrapped it around you. He wasn't used to this but let you do it anyway.
"Relax a little okay?"
"I can't. Still have so much paperwork", he gave back and pointed to his leather bag.
"Ten minutes! Please", you begged and gave him puppy eyes.
"You know I can't say no to you."
"I know", you smiled.
He looked down at you and smiled as well.
"I don't know what your doing to me and I don't know if I like it - yet - but you make me feel good. I love you", he said and kissed you.
"I love you too", you gave back and snuggled against him.
