Ash's POV
The sun just above the horizon as we wait patiently for the theme round to start. Sarah walked out onto the stage dramatically with a microphone in her hand. "Welcome to the theme round!" She announces.
Everybody cheered and Sarah had to wait to continue. "The fashion round is going to be composed of a 10min preparation time and a quick walk around the stage. Each competitor will dress up one Pokémon to show the connection and understanding between a trainer and his/her Pokémon. This round will also show us all the groups and each judge can give up to ten points, top three scores out of thirty will get points toward the theme round."
Four pod like objects are being slid across the stage by a few Machoke. Pretty much exactly like the ones used in showcases. "These pods block our view so that we get the full experience of the competitors work. They also have a very wide variety of ribbons, beads and anything else they might want to use."
"I now think it is time to call out our first four!" Sarah shouts excitedly.
Bonnie's POV
"I must be the youngest one here," I mumble as I look around at all the older and taller girls.
"Bonnie over here," I hear Hannah call out. Emily and Olivia are also there sitting patiently for their names to be called.
Sarah however didn't call on any of us so we can relax for now. "We don't have to go first," Olivia sighs in relief.
"Don't you get the feeling that their has to be a catch," Emily questions while staring at the small tv screen backstage. The four out there were waiting patiently with their one Pokémon of choice beside them.
"Oh wait I forgot something," Sarah laughs. "The trainer isn't allowed to help decorate their Pokémon. Please call out another Pokémon to help you out."
Emily gives us a told-you-so look as we stare intently into the small screen. "There's a boy in this?" I question. "I haven't seen him in any of the festivals."
"He's good," Emily says. "Blew me right out of the competition."
"Oh," I mumble as their shadows could be seen through the thin white paper.
The ten minutes passed by slowly but I know for a fact that it will change when I'm in one of the pods. "Time is up!" Sarah announces.
"First up let's have Roberto," Sarah says and opens his door.
"Wow it may be harder than I thought to get past the theme round," Olivia states.
Roberto has short chestnut hair that is spiked up and flows gently in the breeze. He is wearing a fancy, white short sleeved dress shirt and black pants. His Electabuzz and Dartrix stand proudly beside him.
The medium sized owl is the one dressed up. A small customized black suit covered most of his body but it is cut down to allow the natural green bow to stick out. Different shades of green leaves are attached to the top of his wings in a perfect pattern. "It almost looks natural," I awe as Dartrix flips his two green pieces of hair.
Well... Hopefully I'm that good at fashion.
Professor Kukui's POV
"That's a good idea," I say into the phone. "Talk to you later."
"Don't be afraid to put down the phone and help back," Professor Burnet says and puts her hands on her hips.
"Sorry," I reply. "Almost half of the booked rooms in the hotel are already filled. I'm trying to get things moving up there to keep people occupied."
