Bonnie's POV

I lost.

By one.

I looked over at Dedenne who was beside me. His face dropped and I could tell he was disappointed in himself. "It's okay," I nudged him with my foot.

As I walked backstage Hannah approached me. "Not bad for your first one." I could tell she was trying to cheer me up.

"Good luck." I managed to get out. I walked back outside and met up with everybody in the stands.

"Good job Bonnie," Ash said.

"Not good enough," I snapped back. Now he's probably mad at me for snapping. Ash opened his mouth to speak but Lillie interrupted him.

"Let's go back to the hotel Bonnie," she suggested. I nodded and we left Ajat and Ash to watch the final.

My mind was racing the whole walk back. I was thinking about the lost, what went wrong and why Lillie wanted just us two to go back.

"Did you want to come back just so you wouldn't have to watch the battle?" I asked.

"No I just thought you and I could talk for a bit to make you feel better." Lillie said. I looked at her, "okay maybe that a small part of it.

I laughed at her. "Maybe I shouldn't participate in Flower Festivals." I said sadly. Dedenne ran up and nuzzles my cheek trying to make me feel better.

"Don't think like that Bonnie," Lillie said sternly. "Did you know Ash lost his first gym battle?"

"No but how do you know that?" She isn't a creepy fan girl right?

"We talked," she said.

I smirked, "Talked? That's all right."

Her face went a brighter red than last time. "It's n-uh ot like that," she stuttered.

She stuttered more than usual. "You finally realized you love Ash!" I exclaimed.

"I don't love Ash," she screamed blushing like crazy. "It's just a small crush I'm sure." She said quietly.

"Surrrre," I said not believing her but it's a step in the right direction.

"You and Ash are so brave for starting new journeys without knowing what you're getting into." Lillie said. "I wish I could do that."

"You can," I said boldly. "You're going to watch Ash's first trial battle."

"Isn't that a bit fast," she said worriedly.

"Nope, it'll get you living battles in no time." I stated. "And you get to watch your crush do his thing."

She didn't even reply, all she did was turn and walk into our room.

Ash's POV

"Hannah's so good isn't she?" Ajat said excitedly. If I remember what Bonnie said; since he doesn't stop talking about her, he likes her. A lot.

"Yep," I said. "Olivia doesn't really know what she's doing too."

Olivia looked about my age. Her brown hair with a few blonde strands went about a quarter of the way down her back. Her green eyes looked worried as her Lillipup was getting hammered by a barrage of Treecko's attacks.

"I feel bad for her," I said. Lillipup is pretty much done.

"At least Hannah is going to win," Ajat said happily. He's s nice guy but wow he needs to not act like Hannah is his whole world. Even though she may be that.
