Lillie's POV
"I don't have the slightest clue what my brother is doing," I say to Ash's who's sitting beside me. Very impatiently may I add. "All he's doing is keeping the flying types distracted while Weavile pummels Raichu into the ground."
"I get it," Ash smirks. "He's bored."
"It's the quarter finals, he isn't bored," I argue.
"I've watched and battled enough people who think they're better than their opponents by a huge margin more times than I can remember," Ash states. "And I can't blame Gladion, he's at a huge disadvantage and Hau's too busy cheering his Pokémon's evasive ability to deal any real damage."
"Ok battle expert," I joke. "But if Gladion really were bored than he'd want this battle over as fast as possible."
"Lycanroc make it rain," Gladion orders.
Big hunks of rock start appearing and falling out of the sky onto the swampy battlefield below. The first warming rocks splash into the water below before the pace and amount of rocks multiply. It's almost like a landslide of rocks that are taking down anything in its path.
Decidueye and Trumbeak aren't the most agile fliers and once you take in the fact that they've been dodging attacks the whole time up to this point, they didn't have much of a chance. Once slightly nicked by a rock, it seems like every rock after that is attracted to the Pokémon.
Raichu would've been able to easily evade the attack since surfing around on her tail doesn't require much energy. But Weavile's dark pulse manages to get her covered in the slimy mud which restricted her from getting into the air before an unfortunately zoned rock crushed her.
So now the field is littered with rocks that poke out of the water and offer a dry place to stand. Lucario, Lycanroc, and Weavile find their own rocks to stand on and scout the area. Piles of rocks mark where Hau's Pokémon most likely are so it's not hard to watch every move they could possibly make.
Professor Kukui and Silver are also the referees along as the commentators. Usually the referee position is pointless, therefore the reason why the Pokémon League association removed the need for an official referee, but in a situation like this there's a lot of guessing whether the Pokémon are unable to battle.
Five seconds and they will be declared unable to battle!
Kukui declares, intensifying the suspense.

One rock falls off a pile harmlessly, making Kukui's voice freeze. There's nothing else following it so gravity must've finally overcome that one rock.
Hau's Pokémon are all unable to battle, Gladion is the winner and will be moving on!
"That was quick," I mutter.
"Like I said," Ash chuckles.
I smack him lightly and he gets up. "I better get going," Ash laughs. "You better cheer for me."
"I don't know," I giggle. "This Brady guy seems pretty good.
"Okay then," Ash rolls his eyes and heads towards the exit.
