Chapter 3... Sunday Morning

"Kyungsoo!" You exclaimed. He looked at you with a smile. "This is the best cake ever oh my God!" You took another bite. Jongdae nodded in agreement. "This is better then the last one."
"This one is good but it's too savory. The last one had more of a sweet flavor. I liked it better." Tao explained. Kyungsoo nodded "Noted. You rather sweet then savory."
"I rather sweet then too savory." Tao corrected.
"Okay I have one more cake." He pulled it out the oven and sat it on the counter. Everyone oooed and ahhed as they took in the sight of the cake. The house phone rang. "I'll get it." you said hopping down from the tall counter stool. Kyungsoo started handing out slices of cake. You shushed them before you answered the phone. "Hello?"
"hhhelp uuus." A raspy voice replied. There was a bit of static. Your breath caught in your chest. "W-what?"
"Help us." They repeated.
"Who is this?" You asked.
"We're trapped." The static got louder. "He's injured." The phone went out then came back in. "Find us." The line went dead. You looked at the phone before hanging it up. "Who was that?" Kris asked. He walked up behind you. You didn't respond. He rested his hand on your shoulder "(y/n)?"
"I- I think someone needs our help."
"Our help? Why us?" He asked. You shook your head. "I don't know. They said someone was hurt and to find them."
"It could be a trap." Jongin said. You shook your head. "I don't know."
"That would mean that they know us. We haven't done anything to pop up on anyone's radar. We don't even know any other packs or supernatural creatures in this area. The closest pack is a state over."
"You have to be honest though, people do seem to get nervous when all 13 of us are out walking." Jongin said.
"I think we kind of ooze unnatural energy." Kyungsoo added.
"True or not, we should ignore it."
"But Kris-" he cut you off.
"I'm making the final decision to let it go."
"You'd just let people possibly die!" You asked stepping closer. "Don't forget who the alpha is (y/n)." You stepped back.
"Would an alpha really let people die?"
"An alpha's main goal is to keep his pack safe and that's exactly what I'm doing by telling you to ignore this call. The phone rang again. You looked at it. Kris looked at you then answered. "Whoever this is you have the wrong number. Try calling 911 if something is wrong."
"We neeeed your help. Ex-exposure t-to high. Need your help. N-n-need your p-pack help. In p-p-park. H-h-hurry. He'll die-"
"Wrong number!" Kris yelled then hung up. You put your hand on his back. "You can protect us and help people too."
"You can't even reach your inner wolf but you want to help others? Help yourself first." You looked at him shocked. He turned and went back to the living room. You were quiet for a moment. "Hey uh (y/n)? Here's your slice of cake." Kyungsoo said. You went back to the kitchen and sat down. You took a bite. It was delicious but the taste didn't effect you like it did before. Kyungsoo looked at your stone cold face. "Is- is it good?" He asked. You looked at him. Your face softened. You smiled and nodded. He smiled back, "Good." The others started talking again just as loud as before. Kris may have said no but that wasn't gonna stop you. You looked Minseok. He nodded understanding the look in your eyes.

~Later~
"This is not a good idea." Junmyeon said as he walked with you to the park. Yixing, Sehun and Minseok followed behind. "If someone really is hurt I don't want to leave them out here."
"And if it's a trap?" Sehun asked. You shook your head. "I don't wanna think about it."
"Well I do." Yixing said.
"Then go home." You said.
"No!" He whispered loudly "I can't leave you guys out here. You might need healing or the person who called might need healing."
"You're pretty strong willed for someone who can't even get to her inner wolf." Minseok teased. "Yeah well I get it from my mother. I don't need you to start bringing that up too. Kris does it enough. Look we're here. Step lightly you guys and stay alert."
