Ruth said she had run this shop with her parents. However it was more her responsibility than theirs. Ruthie had rich brown skin like cocoa and Beautiful, earthy, brown eyes. Let's not forget her almost perfectly white teeth. She was about average height and slightly chubby. Her aura screamed power and by the look in her eyes, she was as powerful as she was stunning.

"As you know a werewolf's weakness is wolfsbane." Said Ruth. She searched through glass containers of ingredients.
"I thought our weakness was silver?" Said Baek. Everyone looked at him. You shook your head.
"No Baek it's not. Our silverware at home is made of silver." You said. His eyes widened
"It is?" He asked. You sighed.
"Ah, here it is." She pulled a glass jar off the top shelf. "This is the rarest form of wolfsbane known to man."
"Oh really?" You asked. You thought about a rare form of wolfsbane that you knew about and she didn't. Grown in a garden hidden in a certain woods.
"Yes. Though I am sure there are more forms that haven't been discovered yet. This one is very strong. It could kill all of you instantly if someone were to mishandle it." She started to twist the lid. Everyone backed up. She looked around and smiled, "You'd die instantly if you ingested it." She reassured all of you. You guys stepped back into your original spots. "Mm." You could see Kyungsoo starting to sweat again. The fever was coming back. "I should heal him before the fever gets too strong." Yixing put his hands out. Ruth stopped him. "No, no this is good. The stronger the fever the less likely the potion I'm making will kill him."
"What?" You did not like the way that sounded.
"The potion will have more to fight off in his body. It will fight their potion and the fever. Don't worry he'll be fine. But if you'd like you can go under with him." She put on a glove. She added the wolfsbane to a wooden bowl. She also added some herbs, sprinkled in what looked like spices and a few pinches of sparkling dust.
Fairy dust? Is that possible? You thought about it. Who knows what's possible. She crushed the ingredients. The first thing everyone could smell was wolfsbane. The others made noises in disgust. You couldn't help but agree. You'd never smelled wolfsbane so potent and sour. It smelt a bit like vomit and that's exactly what you wanted to do.

"Uh…" she mumbled something to herself. She stopped crushing and went into a side drawer. Ruth pulled out some masks and handed them to you guys.
"You all look a bit pale." Baek snatched them up quickly and passed them around.
"Thank you so much." He said as he put it on. Ruth started crushing the ingredients again. She made them into a slightly wet, finely crushed powder.
"Now I have to cook it. (Y/n) come with me please."
"Okay." You looked at them before following behind her.

You and Ruth went to the back. As you stepped past the red velvet curtains you smelled flowers,  fruits and a nutty scent that you couldn't make out. Almonds? No. Walnuts? No. Pecans? Maybe.
"Do you cook all your potions back here?"
"Yes." She sat a pot on the stove. "This is usually a slow day. Someone comes in wanting this or that. No one wants a potion made. They take what I already have ready." She turned the stove on and added the potion mix to the pot that started boiling a little too fast.
"What's in the pot besides the potion powder?" You asked. She smiled without answering. She stired the pot.
"Stir this for me please."
"Okay." You took the wooden spoon from her. She went to a shelf of books. "I need one last ingredient." She moved books out of the way. "Where is it?" She tossed a few of the shelf. You had expected them to hit the floor and braced for the loud sound. But instead of falling they stayed a float in the air. You were amazed. You had seen Luhan do something similar. He liked showing off. Luhan. The thought of him made you feel down. You missed him. You missed his and Sehun's silly antics. The way he would clean with Minseok or the way he'd watch you and Kyungsoo cook. He was helpful when it came to cutting things but it stopped there for the most part.
You stared at the pot as you stired.
"Is something wrong?" She asked. You looked up.
"What? No." She tossed another book over her shoulder. "I can feel your sadness. Do you want to talk about it?"
"No it's nothing."
"I'm going to pry. Is it about your pack?" She asked. You sighed and nodded.
"Yes."
"As a leader-"
"I'm not the leader. I'm second in command."
"You're the leader now. They look up to you."
"They shouldn't." You mumbled.
"But they do. Oh! Here it is." She stepped off the latter. "Your leader is down. You are the leader for now."
"I know, I know."
"Okay back up."
"Why?" She opened a small jar. Taking a pinch she threw it into the pot. It had a small explosion.
"Oh."
She poured some of it into 2 small portion bottles. She put one in her pocket and gave the other one to you.
"Okay, the potion is done." She placed in your hands.
"Thank you so much Ruthie."
"You're welcome (y/n)." As you thanked her ready to make your way back to the front, you saw a shadow appear behind her.
"Ruthie-" Before you could ask her about it, it turned into Luhan. "Ruthie look out!" You dropped the potion. You pulled her to you to run but it was too late. He pulled out a long bladed knife. He stabbed her. You gasped as you felt the cold metal enter your stomach as well. He pulled the blade out. You held her up as you both fell to the floor. Ruthie was unconscious. He turned around. Putting his hand out he used his telekinesis to turn the room into a mess. He flipped the potion pot, knocked over ingredients shattering their glass jars. You heard him laugh and disappear. "Ruthie?" You tried to wake her up. "Ruthie?" It wasn't working. "Yixing! Yixing help!" You could feel yourself slipping into unconsciousness. "Yixing." You couldn't yell this time. It came out weakly and strained. You turned back to Ruthie. "I'm sorry Ruthie. This is my fault."

-In the front room-

"Did you guys hear something?" Baekhyun asked. They listened to the sound of something heavy hitting the floor then the sound of breaking glass. "Something's happening." He said.
"Is it supposed to sound like that?" Minseok asked. "Yixing! Yixing help!" They heard (y/n) yelling. "Yixing let's go." said Minseok, "You guys stay with Kyungsoo."
"Okay." Baekhyun nodded. Minseok and Yixing tried to get to the back. Minseok touched the door way. It electrocuted him. "Ow what the hell." He backed up. "There's a barrier up I can't get through."
"There has to be a way." They looked around. Minseok looked at the window "I got it. Back alley window."

You heard a knock on the window. You looked up slowly. "(Y/n)! Open the window!" Minseok and Yixing stood outside. You couldn't do anything but lay back down.

"I can see them. I guess that thud was them falling. How will we get in?"
"Minseok I think I see blood."
"What?" They pressed their faces to the glass. They could see a puddle of blood forming.
"Yixing move to the side."
"What? What are you going to do?"
"Just make sure you don't get hit with any glass."
Yixing moved to the side of the building. He peeked around to watch him. Minseok backed up creating space between him and the window. He put his hands together and formed a thick, solid icicle. When it was the size he wanted he sent it flying at the window. The glass bursted.
"Come on Yixing!"
"Okay!"
Minseok hopped through the window. They ran to Ruthie and (y/n).
"Oh God." Whispered Minseok.
