"School is back in session"

"But mom!" Ace yelled.

"But nothing it's the first day of school YOU ARE GOING!" I yelled into his and Axels room.

"Fine!" He said stomping out of his room facing me in his nice new blue jeans and nice plain black shirt.

"You look nice." I said petting his head.

"Yeah nice. At least you get to go back to bed in your band tee whenever me and the boys leave." He said rolling his eyes.

"Could be worst." I said looking down at him.

"How?" He asked as if it couldn't get worst.

"I could send you to Central Catholic where you have to wear uniforms and learn about god and read from the bible." I said watching his eyes get big.

"You wouldn't dare!" He said.

"Hey kid you never know." I said crossing my arms popping my gum and turned around to get Xander up.

"Daddy!" He said running back into Quinton and I's room.

"Mom messing with Ace gets you no where." Axel said straightening his jeans.

"I get enjoyment out of it." I said turning around and knocking on my youngest sons door.

"Mommy." A groggily Xander said rubbing his eyes.

"It's time to get up for school baby." I said sitting down beside him on his bed.

"Will you help me get dressed?" He asked sitting up and hugging me.

"Sure ill get your clothes while you go brush your teeth." I said standing up and getting his new jeans and green shirt out of his dresser.

A few minuets later Quinton walked in, only in his boxers, with an upset Ace.

"Did you tell our son that we were gonna force him to go to a catholic school?" He asked running his hand through his hair.

"Well I didn't say we were I just said it could be a possibility." I said taking Xander's pajama shirt off and putting his new green polo shirt on.

"Mommy I don't like these buttons." Xander said.

"There is something wrong with this picture." I said sitting back and looking up at Quinton.

"What?" He said completely waking up.

"I never thought I'd see the day one of my spawn wear a polo." I said putting Xander on the bed so I could help him with his jeans.

"Mommy what does spawn mean?" Ace asked.

"Child." Quinton said picking him up and taking him back into his room.

"Mommy do I look alright?" Xander asked looking down at his self.

"You look handsome. Now come on let's go meet your brothers,dad,cousins and aunt and uncle downstairs and get you on the school bus." I said taking his hand and walking him downstairs.

"Wow Xander looking very spiffy for your first day of school bet you'll come home with 3 or 4 girlfriends." Charlie joked fixing Raven's fedora.

"Raven looking rather dashing I see and Ezi loving the bow." I said walking over to my husband who handed Xander his teenage mutant ninja turtles book bag.

A few minuets later there was a knock on the door and in came my brother Caleb with his 5 year old daughter Berlin.

"Hi Berlin today's your first day of kindergarten how exciting." I said going over to see my niece.

"Yeah! Daddy got me a My Little Pony book bag and lunch box see." She said showing them to me.

"Wow how cool." I said standing up and looking at my phone.

"We better start heading to the bus stop." Angel said taking Raven.

"To the bus stop." I said going to grab Ace's hand.

"No my friends can't see me holding my moms hand ill look like a baby." He said pulling his hand back.

"Well I don't wanna hold a baby's hand." I said pulling my hand back and took Xander's instead as Quinton took Axel's.

We walked over to the bus stop just as the bus was getting there.

"Good bye." Angel said.

"Have a good day." I said.

"We love you." Quinton said.

After the bus pulled away I turned to Quinton.

"You say 'We love you' every year." I said to him as we walked back toward the house.

"So." He said grabbing my hand shrugging.

"I was just pointing that out." I said looking around. "Have you heard anything from Shailyn?" I asked Caleb.

"Not a word." Caleb said pulling out his phone.

"She hasn't even called to see how the girls were?" I asked shocked.

"Nope. Pretty obvious she doesn't care about Berlin or Trixie." Caleb said looking at me.

" I can't believe one day she just decided to pack up and leave you guys." I said swing my arm.

"You and me both. Trixie had a nightmare the other night and came in asking where her mommy was. Mick I couldn't answer her." Caleb's eyes began to water.

"I'm sorry."

"I couldn't tell my 3 year old daughter where her goddamn mommy was because I don't even know." He said pissed off.

"Have you tried talking to her brother or parents?" I asked.

"I went over there the other day and the place is boarded up." He said.

"That's just fucked up." I said shacking my head.

"I don't know what to do Mickey." My little brother said helplessly.

"You love and take care of those little guys and you live life and get over her." I said.

"Wow Mick that was deep." Charlie said.

"I know I kinda scared myself." I said opening the front door.

"Well I better get going my new students will be arriving in a half hour." Charlie said kissing Angel on the cheek and grabbing the keys to his range rover.

"Please don't be to hard on those third graders Charlie remember my son is one of them." I said.

"I won't Mickey I still can't believe you refused to tell him who his teacher was." Charlie said,

"I wanted it to be a surprise." I said.

"Alright I'm leaving now bye!" He said.

"Good bye, I love you." Angel said walking him out.

"So when do you have work?" I asked poking my husbands nose.

"In about an hour or so." He said wrapping his arms around me.

"Oh." I said pouting.

"I can call off." he said quickly.

"No it's fine go to work." I said starting up the stairs.

"I need a shower." Quinton said waggling his eyebrows.

"That will take to long." I said.

"I can be late Mickey." He said.

"Sorry can't hear you I'm already in the shower." I yelled giggling and running up the stairs.
