EDIT: I realize how many mistakes I have made in this chapter just reading the first half, I have an excuse, I wrote a lot of it on a tablet and that shit spazzes a hell of a lot. Anyway, for the next little while I'm going to edit the entire book, so when you get notifications of chapter 1 and all of that being uploaded, you can ignore it, because I won't be making plot changes or anything like that, just grammar and spelling errors.

Chapter 33

"So what are we doing today?" I ask Elton as we pull into a parking lot next to a huge cliff. He smirks. I look over at him from the passenger.

"Bungee jumping." All that comes from the backseat is complaints and "hell no"s. I laugh.

"Let's do it then." I smile. The car gets quiet.

"Oh my gosh." I roll my eyes and get out of the car. When we get into the small shack like building near the cliff, we sign an agreement, that if anything happens while here, they will not be held responsible.

I sign the paper and hand off the pen. We get harnesses and helmets. We make out ways to the line.

I turn to talk to all them and realize Corey isn't there. I look around for a moment, I see him standing outside the gate with his harness and stuff on. I laugh shaking my head.

Elton turns the camera to Corey and zooms in.

"Come on Corey!" He yells laughing. "Nope! Fuck you Elton!" He yells back, I snort. Jay looks at me, and chuckles. I blush and look away.

"Miss, it's your turn." I feel a tap on my shoulder. I turn around a follow the directions I'm bending told.

"Put your feet on the x's there." I slowly place my feet over the top of them and take a deep breath. "On the count of 3."

I close my eyes as she counts down, when she hits 3, I put my arms out and fall forward. I hear Corey scream and open my eyes. I can feel my heart pounding, I smile from the adrenaline.

I plummet toward the river below. I close my eyes and hold my breath as my head is submerged in water. I come back up, I feel the water rocking around in my helmet, I bounce around on the rope a couple times.

"Woooooo!" I scream as the reel me back in. "Corey, you better grow a pair because you're ducking doing this and you're going to like it!" I yell.

"Fuck too too Tish!" He flips me off. I laugh as they pull me up.

I pull the helmet off of my head and hand it to the woman next to me. I walk around the little fence and unbuckle my harness. I step out of it and it in the box. I walk over to stand with Corey. I nudge his shoulder.

"Hey bro." He nods at me. "I have a question." I say walking over to sit down on a rock. He turns facing me. "Did mom ever want to know about me?" He drops his head and nods. "All the time." He sits down next to me.

"Sometimes I would watch her dial dads number, and just stare forever at it, and then put the phone down and walk away." I sigh wiping my teary eyes.

"You can still talk to her you know?" He rubs my shoulder. I shake my head.

"I feel bad though. I never tried calling out of the selfishness of my heart, because I assumed she didn't care about me, since she never tried calling me."

"It's never too late, until it's too late. Don't do something you're going to regret and not be able to fix. Just call her." He gets up and walks over to the concession stand. I sigh and head to the RV. I sit in the booth with my phone in front of my. I memorize her number by heart, the number I never once gave a shot.
