You and Max were inseparable for the rest of the day.

"Hey, Y/n..." Max mumbled softly. You looked up at him.

"yeah?" You questioned him.

"Um... Please don't tell anyone about what I told you... About my current living situation, and my parents, and all the fucking shit... I don't need these idiots worrying about me..." Max admitted. You smiled at him.

"i promise, max." You giggled. "i mean, if we told anyone, they would become more protective of you, especially david... he'd probably get you to move in with him."

"Ew. Ok I know you love your uncle David and stuff, but I could not last the rest of my childhood with him!" Max gagged. You rolled your eyes and went to go to the washroom. On your way, you saw Nikki and Emma.

"So~ We saw you with Max! How are things going?" Emma asked you.

"things are going fine, i guess. he apologized for how he's been treating me and he told me why he's been treating me like that, which i can't say... but anyway, we're fine now" you smiled.

"Are you two gonna get laid?" Nikki asked. "Also I STILL DON'T KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS!"

"nikki no..." you sighed as you continued walking to the bathroom... well, the outhouse. This was the toughest thing you and Max has been through. But at least you were glad that everything was settled between you two, but there was one thing that was still on your mind: When the summer is over, Max will have to return to un-safe living conditions. Whether he goes back home with his parents, who are abusive to each other; or his stoner neighbour, who is physically abusive to Max. You wished there was something you could do to help. No one deserves to living that way. It's giving Max a bad example. You left the outhouse, brainstorming things that you could do WITHOUT telling anyone else about this. You sat in your tent and pulled out a paper to brainstorm ideas. You sat there for a good 30 minutes trying to think of stuff. Once you decided to take a break, you folded the paper and put it in your pocket. You saw Max standing outside your tent as you exited your tent.

"yo." You smiled. Max grinned slightly and started walking with you. The paper fell out of your pocket. Max slowly watched it at it fell.

"Um... I forgot something in my tent, can I meet you at the mess hall?" He asked. You nodded and continued to walk to the mess hall.

Max picked up the paper, opened it, and read it.
