"david?" you mumbled as you approached him. He bent down to your height.

"Yes, Y/n?" He grinned.

"am i different?" You questioned.

"Everyone's different!"

"no... i-i..." You stuttered softly. "i  mean... in a bad way?" David frowned.

"What makes you think that?" He asked you. You looked down at your feet.

"i dunno... it's just that... i was sent away... to a mental hospital..." You sniffed. "and... max said it was screwed up... and i didn't think it was until he said it... he also said... i was screwed up... and i didn't think i w as until he said it, so..." David picked you up.

"You didn't go to the hospital because you were screwed up, Y/n..." David grinned softly. "You went there because there was... A small... Virus, I could say. But virus' can get fixed like you did." He was trying to make you feel better, but it wasn't working.

"...ok..." you mumbled as you looked at him. He took you two his room and sat you down on his bed.

"Y/n, what's wrong?" David asked. "I can't help you if I don't know the whole story" You didn't respond. "...It's Max, isn't it?"

"w-what?" you replied in shock.

"You care what he thinks... What he said got to you..."

"well no shit. he told me to drown." you pointed out.

"So why didn't you say anything?" David asked you.

"because i didn't want to get him any angrier at me. he's terrifying when he get's like that." you admitted.

"Are you going to talk to him?" David questioned. You stayed silent. "Y/n. Nothing will fix itself if you don't try to do something."

"but i'm scared i'll say something he doesn't like and then he'll scream at me and then i'll cry! it's a never-ending cycle!" you shouted. "one day he's gonna get really mad and he's probably gonna throw something at me and i don't want that to happen so it's better i keep my mouth shut and let him say what he wants to say and do what he wants to do because if i say something my life is over because he's probably gonna hurt me!" David's eyes widened. He sat down next to you on his bed.

"Y/n..." He started. You looked at your feet. He grabbed your chin softly and turned your head so he could face you. "Are you scared of Max?"

"everyone's scared of m-"

"Seriously, Y/n... Because why the way you described what you think will happen, it sounds like... You're terrified of him." David frowned.

"n-no..." you stuttered.

"Are you sure...?"

"...i'm sure..."
