Tom: I shove my phone back into my pocket and pour myself a drink
Graham: everything ok?
Tom: it's Debbie's birthday today, but she's too busy to see me
Graham: she's spending it with Family, you can see her tonight
Tom: she can't just drop me like that
Graham: she hasn't, it's her birthday and her family want to spend time with her: why you so bothered anyway?, all you want is revenge

Graham: unless your having second thoughts?

Graham: if you really like her then don't go through with this revenge, you could be really happy with Debbie if you allowed it
Tom: years I've spent planning this revenge why would I stop now?

Tom: I sit down and place my head in my hands rubbing my temples

Debbie: I walk into the pub and everyone jumps out and cheers, Sarah and Jack come running to me I pull them in for a tight hug

Cain: happy birthday kid, I've put some money behind the bar for drinks

The party is in full swing everyone's having so much fun. All the dingles are all together, the kids are running about the place and everyone chattering away
Graham: are you sure this is a good idea?
Tom: why wouldn't it be?, I'm only surprising my girlfriend
Graham: in the pub where her family are, including Charity
Tom: so what?, no one will recognise me will they
Graham: that's not the point, I thought that you wanted to keep your relationship a secret for now
Tom: yeah well I've changed my mind, I climb out the car and walk into the pub
Debbie: me, mum and chas are all goofing around, we don't see who walks through the door
Tom: I push open the pub door, to see a crazy mad party going on everyone's all having a great time that they don't spot me
Debbie: I look around and I meet his eyes, I pull away from mum and chas
Chas: everything ok?
Debbie: yeah, I'll just be a minute
Charity: I follow Debbie's eyes which are looking at a very young gentleman probably in his 20's, he has brown hair, he's dressed in a suit and he's devastatingly handsome
Debbie: I walk over to Tom, what the hell are you doing here!
Tom: I wanted to surprise my girlfriend, I lean down to kiss her
Debbie: I pull away no!
Charity: everything ok over here?
Debbie: everything is fine
Charity: who is this very handsome, fit, dark haired boy?
Debbie: he's nobody
Tom: I look at Debbie
Charity: oh keeping him all to yourself are we
Debbie: no I'm not
Charity: hey?, everyone meet Debbie's new boyfriend I shout to all the dingles
The room goes quiet everyone stops chatting and the music goes silent, everyone's eyes turn to Tom and Debbie
Debbie: I grab Tom's arm and drag him out the pub
Tom: wow ok
Debbie: how dare you!!
Tom: excuse me??
Debbie: how dare you!!, turn up here where my family are!!
Tom: I just wanted to surprise you?
Debbie: I told you i wanted to take this slow!, I specifically said that to you!!
Tom: I know you did but I just wanted to see my girlfriend on her birthday!
Debbie: I look at Tom, I wasn't ready for everyone to meet you yet!, but you just couldn't leave it could you!!
Tom: ok ok I'm sorry I shouldn't have come up here, I step closer to Debs tell me how I can make it up to you I'll do anything
Debbie: you can do me a favour
Tom: Then name it, we can have our own party anywhere you like
Debbie: the favour is...., I want you to leave me alone
Tom: you don't mean that, I go to step close to her again
Debbie: I do, it's over this arrangement it isn't working for me
Tom: please don't do this
Debbie: I can't do this anymore, the weirdness you completely ignored what I said
Tom: and I'm so sorry about that
Debbie: no your not, because if you was you would have listened to me
Tom: I will I promise from now on just please give me another chance
Debbie: no I'm sorry, Goodbye Tom I walk back inside
Tom: I sigh and walk back to the car I slip in
Graham: I take it it didn't go well?
Tom: she ended it with me
Graham: maybe it's for the best, maybe you just need to leave the situation alone
Tom: no way. I've come this far I'm not giving up
