Sometimes it's funny how much we've changed

I can barely remember the old carefree days-

At the farm, the zoos, the roller-coasters,

The freedom of fresh air we used to have

Sometimes it's funny how much we've changed

After all, it seems like just yesterday

When I used to run around, play catching games,

To be able to be free, to have no worries

Sometimes it's funny how much we've changed

No longer small, innocent and brave

I wish I could go back to the good old days

Sometimes it's funny how much we've changed

I used to jump in excitement when my mum said I could go out

But now I just wish I could stay at home all day

Sometimes it's funny how much we've changed

From the small young girl to the defeated one

I wonder what it'd be like to live that world again

Sometimes it's funny how much we've changed

I'd never thought life would be this way

So rigid, fierce, and straight-

I wish I was innocent again

Sometimes it's funny how much we've changed

I used to think that fairy-tale endings would come true

I guess it can't remain that way

But I want it to, all the same

Sometimes it's funny how much we've changed

I don't think I'll ever be the same

Scarred from the way life has been to me

Uncertain of how it'll be

Sometimes it's funny how's much we've changed

I'm scared of failing, letting people down,

Having the things I love stripped from me

Scared of letting down my facade

Sometimes it's funny how much we've changed

But it's okay, we're all the same

So don't let go of who've become

For the past is not the future
