You can see it in the distance

A shimmering star

You can see it from the far end

The beautiful light

You can see it anywhere

An amazing piece of art

But suddenly, it's gone

I can't see it anymore

Another star's faded

Another talent's gone

Another person's dead

Thinking of all the beautiful talents

The world could've had

Thinking of how they were all lost

In cruel ways, by things they'd invented

A weapon used against them

Why won't they stop fighting?

Why won't the wars end?

Where's the peace I've been promised?

Come back now, please, and end all this

Why can't we agree to disagree?
