Chapter Eleven: Bad News for Days

POV: Dae

The next morning, we have already received a rather angry voice mail from Yang Hyun Suk, the company's president. We weren't surprised that the interviewing company had already told them of our misbehavior. It was the normal thing to do, even though I didn't know until last night. It was one of the things G had yelled at TOP - however I thought it was just a scare tactic he was using to provoke TOP. It was thirty minutes in to G's lecture and he had still not spoken a word.

I did see a hint of fear in TOP's eyes as we drive over to YG head quarters. The punishment was slight in comparison to the blemish that had been put on our name.

Very few groups ever were rude and those who were suffered greatly for it. My mind flashed to the group Block B. They were disrespectful at an interview in Thailand and left their company after all the dust settled. They were now used as an example - I'm sure they were used as an example at all companies.

We were to be confined to our dorm for further notice. Though none of us were particularly thrilled about this, I believe it struck G a blow the hardest. He had to reschedule his date with Dara again.

Of course all of us felt bad for him, though not all of us showed it (TOP). I'm unsure of Dara's character but I hoped deeply that she would understand the situation. For G's pride and the shreds of peace still left in the house. The house we were to stay in until further notice.

All of this happened two weeks ago.

It is needless to say it has been stressful for all of us. A wrong movement could send G snapping and a wrong sound could put Ri in tears. That is the saddest thing, and I think the thing that hurt TOP the most. Ri blames himself for the confrontation. TOP still hasn't spoke since that day. I feel as of everyone is at least slightly concerned about him, even if not everyone is showing it (G).

The house is more well kept than ever. We have no where else to go so we don't have to rush. Ri has managed to beat a game he bought a week before the interview. G has re-watched all of Running Man. I'm convinced we are all losing our minds. The only person who seems sane is TOP but no one really sees much of him besides Taeyang. When I ask, Taeyang says all he does is read his script. But he doesn't practice. Just memorizes.

We are still waiting for a phone call to lift our sentence. We all find tiny things to occupy our day and take the tension out of shoulders. The only reason why Mine was usually remembering waking up in TOP's arms. It was warm and right and comfortable. It was the last peace filled moment I had in two weeks.

It's two more days before the company calls. Judging from G's expression, it's better than great news. Even TOP leaves his room to hear.

G bounces up excited after hanging up. He looks at us with a bright look in his eyes. "House confinement is lifted."

It's obvious he's holding out on us. "And...?" I prod. The curiosity is swelling through my word.

He pulls in a deep breath. "House confinement is lifted, so we can work on preparing for a tour!"

I would like to say that that was the end of all the squabbles. But it wasn't. TOP still wasn't speaking, G was still terse to him. He worked us hard, but none of us said a word about it. This was typical G, so instead of it being cumbersome it was relieving.

The days were exhausting at first for me because of all the lounging around the dorm. I'm not per say the most athletically motivated of our members. That was always Taeyang. All in all, time fell into a habit that if not pleasant, was comfortable.

The pieces were falling into place for a perfect tour. That was until we received the letter.
