Chapter Thirteen: A Tour All my Own
POV: Dae

I don't bother to knock as I come near to TOP's door. I don't feel the need to. However, I'm struck surprised at the scene before my eyes.
TOP is pacing next to his bed and the wall. He hasn't said anything since the letter arrived - even to me. He started talking in front of the others again, even if he didn't talk to them. "TOP?"
He turns to look at me; his eyes are feverish. "Yeah?"
"I want to talk about Taeyang..." I began slowly.
"What about him? I mean, it sucks that he's leaving but we can still tour." He automatically assumes I'm here to break bad news.
"Huh?" What's he talking about?
"Well, you're an amazing vocal and Ri is decent - you guys can carry his parts. We can still do this, and we can make it so good people will forget all about the interview mishap!"
He's pacing, using his hands to speak. It's obvious he wants to put the incident behind us as well. I never really thought it bothered him, what he did during the interview. TOP isn't the type of guy that would hold many regrets; I guess it's because when he goes to do something, he knows he actually wants to do it.
"We aren't going on tour." I blurt. When it comes to breaking bad news to him, you have to do it quickly.
He slows down and turns to face me. "...what?"
"Ji already cancelled our tour."
In a heartbeat, his face changes from sad to that's his problem. "He just cancelled his tour. Not ours."
He's gone mad - he literally will stop at nothing to do this tour. "You're not making any sense." I say with my hands up.
"Yes I am. We've got a rapper," he points to himself. "And a vocal - maybe two if Ri is up to."
He's back up. Thinking up another plan. I sigh as I move to intercept him. "TOP. TOP." I grab him by the arms.
He looks startled that I'm touching him but not discomforted. "We can't have a tour all our own. Everything's been cancelled. Where we were going to tour, hotels, stadiums. Everything."
I can feel the energy drain out of him a second time. "Oh." He says, deflated. "I gotcha."
He turns to move away from me, but I suddenly remember my originally purpose. "Hey cheer up, Taeyang wants us to go to a club tomorrow. It's his last hurrah so we've all gotta be happy. Will you come with us?" My questions comes a secondary, when I realize how forthcoming I'm being.
"Maybe." He tries to turn again and I capture him in a hug.
"Oh no no no. Maybe isn't going to work this time. Say yes." I start rocking him in my arms. "Say yesss."
He pushes me off of him, but I can see he's smiling. There's a brush on the desk next to his bed and I reach around him to grab it.
"And the final answer isss?" I wiggle my eyebrows at him, using my best host voice with my question.
"Alright, alright. I'll go." He shoves me playfully on the shoulder. I can still see a tinge of regret and sadness in his eyes but he's holding it back for now. I rest on being conflicted by his present emotions, because he needs to be happy for Taeyang but he doesn't need negative energy inside of him.
"Okay," I quip back at him, happy that he's coming anyhow.
"Now get out of here Dae. I wanna sleep." He pushes me again, but this time with meaning behind it.
He probably just wants to sulk, but that isn't any of my business.
