Unpacking wasn't a lot of fun but we ended up getting everything settled in our new home or my Stepfathers new home as I would like to call it.

It was a pretty swell place with a big living room, spiraling staircase up to a second floor and a big kitchen with polished counter and cushioned chairs. My parents lead me up the stairs and I saw two doors leading to two rooms.

My Stepfather told me that the right one was my room. I looked at him shocked because what if I didn't want the right room. Then he told me that the left one was a storeroom.

He urged me to open the door to my room and I did. What I found inside was brilliant. It was my favorite colour. The walls were painted bright light shade of lavender and I had polished wooden study desk and chair and a night lamp and a cupboard. The bed was covered in velvet bedspread and cushioned quilts. I had a window seat cushioned with red leather and large red pillows. I felt like a princess in the room.

I noticed a laptop on the table accompanied by an iPhone. I know I'm seventeen but I've never been given a phone especially  since I never asked for one.

I rushed over to it and spread  my fingers over it just to make sure it was real.

"Do you like it?" My Stepfather asked.

"Oh, she loves it Kai!" Mother replied.

"Mom, this is amazing. My room is so cool. I love it!"  I exclaimed turning to her.

"Thank Kai honey, he made this all possible". She said.

I did not want to thank him, why did he care if I lived or died? Why would he do so much, especially when I told him that I hated him so much!

"Anything for our little pearl, you're one in a million Na-young". He replied full of smiles.

"It's okay then!" I calmly tried to respond but my voice was scornful. I didn't want to get in trouble so I smiled and thanked Kai for the room.

Soon, I'll be Kim Na-young. No!

I won't take Kai's last name. I'm still Do Na-young. And that is who I'll always be. I hope!

"감사합니다  가이"/ Thank you Kai". I replied. A smile came on his face again and he winked at me.

"So, who want's take out? He asked.

We all agreed since we were tired and ended up having ramen from a nearby store. I ate with them as Kai told us about a school he had enrolled me in. I was silent since I didn't want to repeat what happened back at our old place.

I didn't like Kai and I'm sure that was pretty clear but I was tired and I did not want to go to his boring school choice but Mother wasn't going to have my complaints about why it was a bad choice so I didn't say anything and they agreed to send me there the next day.

It was all to sudden, besides didn't Mother think that Kai was planning my life a little too
fast since I was not ready to give him the control. I'm turning eighteen soon and he can't just keep taking control of my life since if he did take charge, I'd be steering towards a deep lake by now.

Mother was so happy that we moved here, she said that she didn't miss our old home since her husband "Kai" was with us.

I went to bed straight after, not bothering with dessert that Kai had brought. He must have felt bad for me.

Because the next ting I knew was that he came up to my room but I was already in bed and the lights were off. I was awake and weeping but he didn't notice.
