Chapter 12

I had a sick day yesterday so I wasn't able to go to the hospital and see Ash, I mean go to work. I really wish that he could get out of the hospital but I knew that wasn't happening any time soon.

Ash hadn't told anyone but me that he was possessed. It seemed like he had been getting better. I knew how hard he was fighting it. But the best thing is, he was doing it all for me.

"Hey Ash." I said with a small smile as I went into his room to escort him to breakfast.

"Liza where were you yesterday? I was worried sick about you." Ashton said as he jumped up and wrapped me in a hug.

"Well it seems someone missed me. I was just sick with a little cold nothing major." I explained as I pulled away and grabbed his hands.

"I was just worried about you because you never miss a day of work and I thought you were abandoning me or something." Ash starting getting a little teary eyed.

"Toughen up Ash. And I have a very serious question. Have you been keeping "him" at bay recently?" I sat down on his bed and pulled him down next to me.

"Well...... He kind of took over yesterday because you weren't here and I was in a really vulnerable state. All I remember was being outside the hospital and attacking this man. I really tried to fight him but I just couldn't and I'm so sorry Liza...." Ash trailed off. I never realized how much Ash actually needed me....
