The phone fell out of my hands breaking into a million pieces on the floor. I made my way to the counter to help support my weight since I felt very dizzy. Ashton must have heard the phone break and came rushing in.
"Liza what's wrong?" Ashton said as his face read of worry. I just shook my head and sobbed into my hand. He came over to me and wrapped me in his arms but I pushed him away.
"Yo-yo-you knew didn't you? You knew that you were going back to Australia tomorrow and you didn't even tell me? I had to hear it from one of my co-workers?" I spat at him as my sadness turned into rage.
He stood there looking at me with tears forming in his hazel eyes. "I didn't want to tell you because I just wanted to spend my last night here with you. I didn't want you to be all sad like you are now." He looked at the ground and I saw a tear escape and roll down his cheek.
"Ashton yes, I would be sad, but it would have been better if you had told me. Now can you leave me alone at the moment, I just need some time to myself right now." I crossed my arms over my chest and waited for him to leave. I then grabbed a dustpan and cleaned up the broken glass from the phone. I couldnt believe that Ashton had kept this from me. He was leaving tomorrow and there was nothing I could do about it, and I couldn't stop the monster inside him from coming out again.
After cleaning up the glass I went to the living room and saw Ash fast asleep. I grabbed a blanket out of the closet and layed it on top of him. My co-worker had called me back on my other phone to tell me that Ashton had to be at the airport by 10 am. I put his bags by the front door so we wouldn't forget them in the morning. He was really leaving. I couldn't protect him.
