Rosebrook Academy

Chapter seven

Vanessa walked out of the hall of mirrors and walked to the rose maze, for some well needed alone time. "Hey Vanessa," Dylan said sitting down next to Vanessa on the crème coloured bench. "Hey" Vanessa replied looking up from the ground. "Can I ask you something?" Dylan asked "depends" Vanessa replied, "who's your parent?" Dylan asked causing Vanessa to stand up and run away.  She didn't know where she was running to all she knew was she needed to get away from him. Vanessa's usual brown eyes changed to bright red meaning her wolf mode had taken over. It would be exactly two minutes till she changed into her wolf form which was beautiful, but deadly. Before she knew it she was in the woods, five miles from Rosebrook Academy. Her clothes began to tear apart as black fur began to grow all over her body. She no longer was able to walk on two feet so she fell down on all fours and began running further and further into the forest. There was a crunch coming from behind her so she turned around and began to growl. Another wolf walked out from behind the tree. It was a dark red and had amber coloured eyes. "Who are you and what are you doing in my forest" it asked "I don't know who you are so why should I answer your question" Vanessa responded "My name is Rebecca I'm red riding hood's daughter" She said as her voice began to soften "I'm Vanessa" Vanessa said. To anyone else the wolfs would be growling at each other but to them and other wolfs, they were having a civil conversation. "Why are you here" Rebecca asked "my friend asked me who my dad was" Vanessa replied "and who is your dad" Rebecca asked "that's the thing I can't tell anyone otherwise they could get hurt" Vanessa said her as her eyes began filling with tears. "Sometimes you have to take risks to save someone even if there is a chance of them getting hurt" Rebecca said. Vanessa was about to reply when someone shouted her name, causing Rebecca to run off but before she did she said "I go to Rosebrook Academy if you want to find me blow this whistle". Vanessa's fur began to fade replaced by her tanned skin, her hair went to its normal length and her eyes went their normal brown. "Vanessa" the voice called out "I'm here" she said. "You ok?" Dylan questioned "I need to tell you something" Vanessa confessed "What is it" Dylan smiled "Let me get a new pair of clothes first" Vanessa laughed "I'll get them for you," Dylan said as he picked up  Vanessa and sprinted to the nearest clothes shop. The pair entered the shop. The pair spent an hour in there before they agreed on a new outfit for Vanessa that looked identical to her old one. They walked out of the shop then walked back to school "you wanted to tell me something" Dylan remembered. Vanessa was about to say something when someone shouted "Vanessa" causing Vanessa to turn around. "Dad".
