Chapter fourteen

Vanessa opened her eyes to see an inky sky instead of a navy one. Vanessa looked at her phone to see what the time was, unfortunately, her phone was dead "great" she thought to herself.  Vanessa went to stand up only to be pulled back down again "stay" Dylan whispered, his eyes still firmly closed "I want to put my phone on charge" Vanessa replied freeing herself from Dylan's grasp. She walked into her bedroom to plug her phone in when she saw a note on her bed. The note read "Dear Vanessa meet me in the Rose garden, H" Vanessa read to herself. She put on some shoes then did her usual exit of jumping out the window. Once she landed on her hands and knees, her skin began to melt away leaving her with a body engulfed in fur her eyes changed from their usual brown into a light ember. Claws began to grow out from her hands and feet making her transformation complete. She sprinted across the school the school grounds avoiding all the security cameras after what for us would feel like a eternity was a matter of seconds for Vanessa. She arrived at the rose gardens and sat down on one of the many stone benches and waited for the person who wanted to speak to her. An hour passed before the letter writer arrived "Vanessa what did I say about putting your hat in front of your face" the voice said so Vanessa reluctantly took off her hat "what" she spat  "we need to talk" he said "we don't need to talk about anything" she replied putting the hat back on her face "we need to talk about your friends safety now that they know who I am" he replied stealing Vanessa's hat and making it disappear "why whats going to happen?" she asked bolting up "the better question would be whats not going to happen?"  H said before walking off.
