Father: Get up! NOW!
(Y/N) did as his Father commanded as climbs up and lands on the grass.
Father: Have you learned your lesson?
(Y/N): Y-Yes, Sir.
Father: Good.
He then gives them a rake.
Father: Scrape the entire field. You won't get food until you're completely done. Got it?
(Y/N): Yes, Sir.
Father: MOVE!!!
(Y/N) then starts walking to the field.
(Time Skip)
A few hours have passed as (Y/N) was almost done with the field. He wipes the sweet of his forehead as he looks up to see the sun faintly covered by gray clouds. He hears an engine closing by as he sees a black car arriving at the entrance by the wooden fence to see man in his late thirties come out of the car. The man then sees (Y/N) and motions to come forward. The boy follows the order and goes to the man as he is now at the other side of fence.
(Y/N): Can I...help you, Sir?
Man: My name is Officer Pennyworth. I am a former Lieutenant in the Atlas Military and current serving the Vale Police Department. I'm at my final shift and decided to drive here by the countryside.
The Officer then notices the scars and bruises on (Y/N)'s face.
Officer Pennyworth: Dear gracious. What happened to you.
(Y/N): It's not. Just an accident.
But the Officer knew the boy was lying.
Officer Pennyworth: Don't lie, young one. Tell me. What really happened to you?
(Y/N): It's...my father. He killed my mom. Abused me...T-Tortured me. It just wont stop! Been happening for over FOUR YEARS! I just want it to stop! I want to leave here. HELP ME! PLEASE!
(Y/N) starts crying a storm but the Officer calms him down for ten minutes.
Officer Pennyworth: I see. Can you take me to your house, please?
(Y/N): Why?
Officer Pennyworth: I'm going to have a little talk with him.
(Y/N) leads the Officer to his house as the man knocks on the door while the boy stays by the well. (Y/N)'s Father then answers the door.
Father: What are you doing here, Officer?
Officer Pennyworth: I came to have a word.
Father: Is there a problem?
Officer Pennyworth: Yes, there is. Have you been abusing your own son?
Father: No. I haven't.
Officer Pennyworth: Then how come that boy told me you did it to him.
Father: He just lies. He doesn't even tell the truth.
Officer Pennyworth: No, he doesn't. Now I'm going to ask you aga-
Father: I told you the truth, Officer. Now get off my fucking property.
Officer Pennyworth: I'm asking again. Did you abu-
The Officer was then punched in the face as he was knocked to the ground. The Father comes out with a shotgun and aims it at him.
Father: I SAID GET OUT OF MY FACE! GUESS I HAVE TO BLOW YOUR FUCKING BRAINS OUT!!!
(Y/N): Leave him alone!
The Father then looks at (Y/N).
Father: Oh. you want to join him? FINE! Your just a worthless slave, after all!
But suddenly, the bat from before lands on (Y/N)'s shoulders.
Father: What the hell?
(Y/N) then gives an angry expression.
(Y/N): We're no longer your slaves.
The boy then motions his hand forward as all of the bats fly out of the well and surround his Father. He was screaming in pain and fear as the bats were attacking him. But the Officer then seizes the opportunity to punch him in the face, knocking him out.
(Time Skip)
A few other police cars and a ambulance are seen at the house as other cops secure the house and the Officer was pushing (Y/N)'s Father to one of the cars.
Officer Pennyworth: Mr (L/N). You're under arrest for the murder of your own wife, the abuse of your own son, and assaulting a police officer. Your sentence in prison shall be worth your suffering.
Father: It doesn't matter! I'll get out anyway!
Officer Pennyworth: I'll make sure you won't. Cause the Judge from the Vale Court House is a close friend of mine.
The Officer then closes the door as the police car drives to Blackgate Prison. The Officer then goes to (Y/N) sitting on the floor as he places a hand on his shoulder.
Officer Pennyworth: Thanks for helping me.
(Y/N): You're welcome.
Officer Pennyworth: How about you come to my house?
(Y/N): Really?
Gordon: Sir, what will happen to the child?
Officer Pennyworth: He stays with me.
The cop then leaves.
Officer Pennyworth: Come, child. Let me take you home.
The boy then gets into his car and goes to his new home.
(Time Skip)
(Y/N) walks with the Officer as they look at the mansion before them.
