At the Narrows, Batman is seen surveying an apartment with his Bat-Scope as he looks to three stuffed rabbits on a leather couch as a couple was arguing. The child of the couple steps out into the patio when he couldn't take their bickering. Both him and Batman notice each other.

Child: It's you, isn't it? Everybody's been talking about you. The other kids won't believe me.

Batman gives his gadget to the child.

Batman: They will.

He then soon disappears before the child could look up.

(Scene Change)

Batman enters the apartment when he opened the window. He looks at one of the rabbits as he opens it to see a pill. He crushes to see that it has a black yet blueish material. He takes a sniff and the smell is familiar.

Batman: (A Blue Rose?)

He hears the door open as he hides. It is revealed to be Crane with 2 thugs from his gang. They look around as the whole apartment was filled with the rabbits.

Crane: Get rid of all traces.

Thug: Better torch the whole place.

Thug 2: All right.

When the thugs were staining the whole apartment with gasoline, one of them was finished and went to take a leak in the bathroom. When the thug was looking at the mirror, Batman gets behind and smashes his head on the glass. Crane and the other thug were now on alert due to the sound. As the thug was trying to look, Batman disarms and takes him down with a Side Jab. But looking, he turns around to get hit with Scarecrow's gas.

Scarecrow: Ah. Having trouble? Take a seat. Have a drink.

Aside from his taunting, Batman's mind is seriously going haywire. He starts remembering his past. The murder of his mother. The abuse of his father. The nightmare of the bats. And the harsh training he had to endure from Ra's Al Ghul. As Batman was suffering from his mental panic, Scarecrow flicks a lighter.

Scarecrow: You look like a man who takes himself too seriously. Do you want my opinion? You need to lighten up.

Scarecrow then lights Batman on fire. Panicking, Batman had no choice but to jump out from the window as he lands on the roof of a car and rolls down to the street. He rolls over, trying to put the fire out. After he did it, he picks himself up as his suit was damaged. Ignoring the people looking at him, he goes to an alleyway as he grapples up to a roof. Laying down, he turns on his Bat-Phone and calls Alfred.

Batman: Alfred. Help me!

When he turns it off, his vision started getting blurry as the last thing he saw was a little figure going to him.
