The Red Hood

The figure of a teenage boy wearing a red hood along with the clothes of a street hustler is seen checking the number of bullets in his pistol mag while looking over the streets. He tilts his head a bit before he loads his pistol and cocks it. He stands up from the ledge he was sitting on and takes a deep breath.

Red Hood: Guess my actions have attracted you. Huh, (Y/N)?

Red Hood turns around to see Batman.

Batman: Jason.

Red Hood: At a lost for words? Hmph. Just what I thought.

Batman: I saw the house explode. I...saw you die,

Red Hood: You are wrong! Jason died that night. But I was reborn. Into something better, stronger, and smarter. Look at me now, Batman.

Batman: This isn't who you are! You are Jason Todd. You are my chi-

Red Hood: Don't tell me who I am!

Red Hood started firing some shots as Batman avoids them. Batman goes for a Front Tackle, but Red Hood notices it. He prepares for a Strike with his Spiked Mags but Batman sees it as it scratches his Cowl. Batman does a Knee Strrike to the gut, Two Punches to the chest, a Round Jab, but Hood counters with a Side Block and Kicks the leg. Red Hood goes for a Strike, but Batman retaliates with a Monkey Flip. Both men shoot a Bullet\ Batarang as both projectiles hit their masks into a damaged state. They stare into each other's souls and take off their masks to reveal their faces.

Jason: Ever since that night, it made me realize the truth. Vale is nothing but a sick and twisted kingdom filled with violence and chaos. The system defined as the law isn't enough to bring down those scumbags for good. You may strike fear into their hearts, (Y/N). But some will just continue with their own relentless plans of crime.

(Y/N): And you believe putting bullets through their hearts will save this kingdom? You think taking lives will make you a worthy guardian?

Jason: It doesn't matter what I've done to them! Cause once they're dead, Vale will realize why my actions speak the truth. And also, to hell with the thing that is called judgement. Cause for the law and the citizens, I don't give a damn of what they think of me.

(Y/N) : Not even your own parents?

Jason screams in rage and takes him down. He goes for massive Punches to the face as (Y/N)'s vision starts to break down. (Y/N) starts Blocking and counters Jason. (Y/N) lifts him up and hits a Spinebuster. He then proceeds with a Jumping Double Foot Stomp, but the impact has destroyed the unstable condition of the rooftop as both men starts descending down. The exchange many Strikes while falling, but as Jason fires random Shots, (Y/N) uses his Cape to ascend a little bit, catches Jason with his Grapple Gun, and finishes it with a Flying Kick as they hit the ground hard.

Jason: *panting*

(Y/N): *coughs*

(Y/N) digs himself up from the rubble and gets up to one knee. But as he looks up, Jason looks down on his childhood friend with a Pistol pointed at his brain.

Jason: I am the true protector of this kingdom. And it doesn't matter...if I have to kill. Or going through people like you.

(Y/N) shocks Jason as he places the barrel on his forehead.

(Y/N): Then do it!

Jason was just in shock and pure silence.

(Y/N): DO IT!

Despite the enormous uproar, both of them start remembering that night when they were kids.

(Flashback Start)

Jason: Mom! Dad!

Jason starts running into the burning house in search of his parents.

(Y/N): Jason, no!

(Y/N) rushes to save-

*BOOM*

He was too late as the house explodes to pieces. His expression was now of being horrified and shocked.

(Y/N): JJAAAAASSSOOONNN!!!

(Flashback End)

Many emotions start filling Jason's mind as his body starts shaking. (Y/N) keeps his emotionless expression and closes his eyes. As the final decision, Jason throws his Pistol away and backs off. He places his body near a wall and starts shedding tears. But when Jason turns around, (Y/N) was gone, except the one thing that didn't break their bond. Jason picks up...the photo (Y/N) kept ever since that day.
