our bodies
weren't meant to contort
for other people
to bend and break
by their will
we weren't supposed to be possessed
by the needs and desires of one another
to walk like the exorcist
down a flight of stairs
but we do
by human nature
and ignore the pain in our joints
for fleeting love
and everlasting lust
sometimes I believe
that Shakespeare wrote us
