Said chocolate
Was your favorite flavor
This brown skin girl
Is what you tryna savor
But remember
You don't need to save her
But remember that
You can't enslave her
She a renegade
Bitter sweet
Like lemonade
You mad cause of the
Melanin I emanate
Mad cause I wear
my curls like a crown
I elevate
The sun worships me
You need a barricade
Your lil white kingdom
Imma renovate
Come sit in on my class
Time I educate
And tell all your friends
Make the news disseminate
Where's my 40 acres and my mules?
Promised in 1865
Are we applying interest rules?
You're in a dept, you can't survive
You gone reap what you sow
Talking bout Jim Crowe
All the black bodies
You put on death row
Best believe, the corrupt
We will overthrow
Google Black Wall St
And then you'll know
Why there's so much rage
You only like black when it's beige
Or when it is on stage
Remember when you put us in a cage
I guess we are too strong for you
To manage
That's why you made us
Prisoners with a wage

Why God, why God, why God, why do I gotta bleed?
Why war, why war, what for? Peace is what we need.
I dont remember a time where a black man wouldn't get shot on street.
All because the color of his skin, yet the pride of they color still beat.
Even if you lock kill em all, I as a man will still speak.
Imagine having a government working against you, cause your color makes you a "freak".
Some white cops beat them down, but they are not weak.
If you got a protest to my protest, hold your tongue to your cheek.
I can never say I knew they cultures struggle.
I am a guest to this culture through rap, Kendrick made me humble.
Imagine that the Color of your skin, gets you judged.
And if you gotta problem wit dat than your view smudged.
All you racist people stem from, being able to not Judge.
You push they culture around like Rosa Parks, yet they dont budge.
You make move as you please, And they some ain't even holda grude.
And you complain about the poverty rates, but the Gov ain't give em much.
Imagine having to fear around the red, white and blue.
Imagine the people that are supposed to protect you, kill you.
And that it something our government can stomach, but we as the people wont chew.
Please, think of they struggle. Wear 1 one they shoe.
...
Why God, why god, why god, why do I gotta suffer.
When the one that I'm supposed to call my brother.
Is judging and hating me due to my color.
We need change... no other.
