The next morning, Cristopher woke up to the sound of...
Puns?
Cristopher turned to look at Frisk, who was giggling at puns that Sans made while Papyrus, on the other hand, was screaming.
"... c'mon paps, throw me a BONE here. ya know that you have BONE-ified cooking skills. they're absolutely EGG-cellent. you're the BONE-ly one who can make great spaghetti. all the other ones are im-PASTAS."
"NYEEEEH! SANS! ANOTHER PUN FROM YOU AND I WILL THROW YOU OUT THE WINDOW, I SWEAR!!"
Sans grinned and shrugged. "aww don't be like that. you know you're still-"
"NO."
"my dear-"
"STOP."
"brother-"
"SANS."
"paprika?"
Papyrus shrieked and tried to grab Sans. But he was too fast for a fat skeleton. (If that made ANY sense whatsoever.) He darted towards his room and slammed the door shut while Papyrus was hot on his tailbone. He furiously knocked on the door. Only to get the casual answer, "who's there?"
But after lots of time, (and a few knock-knock jokes) Papyrus finally cooled down and Sans emerged from his messy room. He sat next to Cristopher on the couch and grinned even more. "sleep well kid?" He asked. Cristopher gave a nod in response. "cool." Said Sans. "let's stop by the shop. i'll get 'cha somethin' to eat." Cristopher nodded once more and grabbed Sans' hand. Within a few seconds they were in a tiny store. With the bunny-monster shop keeper at the counter. "Well I'll be darned!" She exclaimed. "You look like you're in a much better mood!" Then she directed her attention to Cristopher. "And who might you be?" Cristopher looked up happily. "I'm Cristopher!" He replied proudly. She smiled. "So, what brings you two here?"
"just gettin the kid some grub." Replied Sans cooly. "we'll take a couple cinnamon bunnies"
"Of course!" The shop keeper replied as she took two cinnamon bunnies, wrapped them, and neatly placed them in a paper bag. "That'll be 50g." Sans dug in his pockets but after about a minute, he was finally able to scrape together enough money to pay for both cinnamon bunnies.
"Have a nice day!" Said the shop keeper as Sans and Cristopher left the store. Sans handed Cristopher the bag and without a moment to spare, he happily munched on a cinnamon bunny. "So where are we going?" Asked Cristopher. "we're heading over to a few people i know. i know another shortcut. hold on." And just like before, they instantly arrived at a new location. It was scorching in there and there where pools of lava below the huge gaps on the ground. The complete opposite of Snowdin. In the middle of it was a large building. "here we are." Said Sans as they walked towards the building. He knocked on the door.
A few minutes later the timid dino-monster in a lab coat answered the door. "O-oh! H-hi Sans. W-wait! Is that who I think it is?" Sans nodded. She was clearly referring to Cristopher. "W-well c-come in y-you two. U-undyne's here too!" She said as they walked in.
Inside the building there was a huge lab with a messy computer and a large screen in it with a couch in front of it with Undyne sitting in it. She quickly turned towards Sans. "Aren't you still looking for someone?" She barked a bit too harshly. Sans just chuckled, "i win."
"WHAT?!" Screeched Undyne as she quickly turned towards Sans, and sure enough, she saw the small human child hiding behind Sans shyly. "YOU SERIOUSLY FOUND THEM?! HOW?!" Sans just shrugged. "i just had a feelin' 'bout this kid, so i had to take a closer look at him. turns out, he's the one. he has the same kind of soul as frisk. take a look." He snapped his fingers and at that moment Cristopher's soul appeared, just about as bright red as what Frisk's used to be. "So you found him, huh. You really wanna bring her back don't you? I get it nerd, you miss her. I admit, I still miss that punk too. But how do you know that this "RESET" think is gonna work?"
"i don't." Said Sans. "but we have to try."
Frisk smiled at Sans though he still couldn't see her, but Cristopher flashed a warm smile at her anyway.

After talking with Undyne, Sans decided to go to Waterfall to visit Frisk's grave. But he had to check something so he entrusted Cristopher with Napstablook. But after Sans left-
"Umm Frisk? How are you here?" Sighed a confused Napstablook.
"You can... You can see me?" Said Frisk.
But Napstablook wasn't listening. "Did you get brought back and not tell me? I guess you don't have to. Ooooooh..."
"Of course not! It's just that after I died, a bit of my determination lingered. But the only one who could see me was Cristopher because my determination is attached to his. I guess the reason why you can see me is because I'm in some kind of form of ghost. And the fact that Sans would go to such amounts just for me, makes me feel so lucky that I met him."
"Should I tell him that you're still here?"
"No, it's okay. It's better this way. What's the point of him knowing that I'm still alive if he can't see me or hear me. It wouldn't be the same..."
"Oh...Okay..."
In his attempts to be kind, he handed Frisk and Cristopher each a ghost sandwich. Frisk thought her's was tasty while Cristopher's phased through his hands.
"Sometimes we lay down on the ground and pretend to be trash. It's a family tradition. Do you want to join me?' asked Napstablook.
Frisk and Cristopher both excitedly nodded.
Then they lay on the floor and stared at the ceiling. It was quite relaxing.
Once Sans retuned, he motioned to Cristopher for him to follow him. As Cristopher waved to Napstablook, he thought about what Frisk said about Sans. The more he thought about it, the sadder Sans seemed. In spite of his puns and permanent grin, he always seemed to have a sad, tired look min his eyes, as if he's been hurting for his entire life and just wanted a break.
He hoped that he would be able to bring Frisk back for his sake.
(Sorry it's been awhile. I got a case of writer's block for a bit.If you're an author too, you probably understand. Also, please consider voting on this book as it will be greatly appreciated.)
