She danced
                              with a paintbrush in hand
stroking in colors of the sky and the sand.

                              She laughed
her eyes squinted, wild and free
a light zephyr tossed the sea.

                              She sang
                              the water echoed her
a sweet melody turned into a blur.

                              She fell
                              deep as the ocean
couldn't swim out of the love emotion.

                              She loved
                              his fire and heat
                              opposites made wholly complete.

                              She broke
                              her heart fell and shattered
a beautiful girl, reduced down to tatters.

                              She dreamed
of the waves and the shore
and remembered her life was once much more.

                              She smiled
                              now filled with peace.
Forever and more, a Girl of the Sea.
