THIS CHAPTER WAS ALREADY EDITED!! :)
I pushed the button that calls the elevator. Honestly, I was a little dazed and confused with what just happened. Staring blankly at the black marble beneath me, I recall the kiss that Henry gave me before he left. Clearly, I was speechless and I’ve got nothing to say, which was getting frequent ever since my confrontation with him. Lifting my gaze to the reflection on the elevator doors I saw a couple was waiting alongside with me outside in the lobby, and I noticed that they were smiling at me.
"Hi Ms. Grant!" The woman with long, blonde hair greeted me. She had a mischievous grin plastered on her face as she stared at me beside her boyfriend or I think her husband. I turned my gaze towards her hand hooked on the man beside her, I saw a ring on her finger and then I knew that they were a married couple.
"Hello." I gave them both a sweet smile. What is up with people today? We entered the elevator, I went in first and the couple followed me in. We stood side by side; her husband was beside me, and the annoying, blonde woman was on his other side. They were still giving me amused looks, which started to irritate me. What the fuck? "I'm sorry. I noticed that the both of you have been giving me amused looks. What is so funny? Would you care to tell me?" Now I'm sort of angry. I really don't like people giving these kinds of looks.
"I'm sorry Ms. Grant. We mean no disrespect. We just thought that you know, that you don't date. But we saw you with the most Mr. Michaels in the lobby and the way he kissed you-" I knew where this was going. Fuck.
"We're not dating." I said to them bluntly. They looked at each other confused and looked back to me.
"Oh ok. We just thought-"
"No. You got it all wrong." I paused for a while. The elevator sounded telling us that we’ve stopped on the eighteenth floor. "We're at your floor."
"Oh! We didn't notice. It was nice to meet you Ms. Grant. We’re both sorry for our intrusion." They both gave me a warm smile and I tried to smile at them to hide my bad mood. They walked hand in hand out of the elevator and the elevator door closes behind them. I punched the code to the penthouse and the elevator started to slow go up to my floor.
As I arrived in my apartment, I decided to have a drink just to get rid of the edge. I walked towards the liquor cabinet, brought out a bottle of bourbon and poured myself a glass. After putting back the bottle, I walked towards my study and immediately turned on my desktop. All at once, it alarms telling me that an email arrived and it’s from my secretary.

I'm sorry to bother you Ms. Grant, but Mr. Michaels has been emailing me for the last hour asking me for your email. Should I give it to him?

What the hell does this man want now? Business has been settled already so I ignored Stacey's reply to my email and went to my living room. I sat down on the plush couch and stared at the flame in the fireplace. I can't stop thinking about Henry and that--kiss. It kept replaying in my head over and over and over again. The way he pulled me into his arms and how he kissed me with his soft lips. What was that about? Does he like me? No, probably not. I threatened him earlier. Certainly he doesn't want his women like that. What am I thinking? What the fuck? I decided to pour myself another glass and decided to go to bed.
