Yoongi and Taehyung had been in and out of his apartment after he stopped answering their calls, trying to encourage him to walk around and eat as they left bags of fresh food to replace the noodles Hoseok had been surviving on. He knew they were concerned, only he was just so tired, constantly closing his eyes to slip away from reality every time they opened again to be met with his dull, grey ceiling.

At times, they would walk in and just sit there, watching helplessly as Hoseok laid awake, eyes rimmed red while he stared blankly at the wall. They felt like they were failing as friends, failing as Hoseok's only sources of consolation.

Finally, Yoongi couldn't take witnessing his friend practically crumble anymore. Ignoring Hoseok's weak, yet contentious protests, he smacks him various times (to which Hoseok fucking lets him because why not, he deserved it) before strenuously dragging the younger out of bed to get him to shower. When he finally exits the bathroom, Taehyung had set out some clean clothes for him to wear.

Stepping outside, Hoseok has to squint his eyes from the blinding light despite there being clouds. The sun wasn't too bright, but for him, he could barely see where he was going. Although the air was fresh, Hoseok felt the opposite, wanting to sleep and wither away. Still, Taehyung and Yoongi seize his arms and pull him.

Hoseok allows himself to be dragged, too exhausted to fight back anymore. After entering wherever the hell they did-he collapses onto the nearest chair he could spot, laying his head within his arms with faint pants, legs aching because of his lack of movement the past few days. He takes the opportunity to close his eyes, wishing he could disappear. He just wanted to go back to the comfort of his bed. Or rather, his escape.

"Jungkook!" He hears Yoongi greet. "Oh, and Jin! How are you guys?"

Jungkook?

Eyes widening, Hoseok shoots his head up to look around in response to hearing the familiar name and discerns that they were in a cafe. Specifically, the one he'd gone to a whole week ago. Suddenly feeling troubled, he tries to hide his face upon remembering Namjoon. He found the man intriguing yet... he didn't want to ever see him again. It was too much of a gamble.

"We're doing great! Namjoon's shift usually ends by this time so he's probably home now, you should have come a teeny bit earlier. Who'd you bring with you?"

His shift usually ends by this time.

"Ah, my two friends. This is Taehyung, and that's Hoseok over there. He just got out of bed despite it being six in the afternoon, that's why he's grumpy."
