Hoseok was lost in his thoughts. Irrelevant, meaningless thoughts that swirled around in his head as he stared out the window, watching the sun paint the sky with beams of mild oranges, blazing reds, and a luminous golden.
This time, he had his sketchbook open, and while his mind was buzzing, so was the cafe as it stirred with activity and customers chatting happily.
But he was so absorbed with the somber ruminations of his mind, he hadn't heard the bell of the cafe or the way a beautiful man barged in while complaining that he'd nearly reached his home until abruptly remembering he left his keys in the kitchen.
He didn't catch the laughs and teasing as Jungkook vanished and reappeared through the metal doors, tossing a set of keys with a little orange ryan bear keychain over the counter.
As that man turned around, Hoseok didn't even know he'd stopped dead in his tracks to watch him stare out the window, one hand propping his chin up, the other mindlessly sketching something with a blue pen.
Nor did he feel the presence of the male as he slowly but surely walked over and took a seat in front of him.
Not until a throat was cleared.
Hoseok blinks a couple of times, recovering from his internal distress before turning his head, feeling his body slightly tense after recognizing the beauty seated across.
"Namjoon?"
The male's eyes widen. "I- you remember my name?"
When Hoseok doesn't answer, he shakes his head. "I mean, sorry. Um... I just thought I'd say hi?"
"Hi."
Namjoon stares, not knowing what to say. It had been a long while since he'd seen the blonde-haired boy.
It was frustrating and unfair how he couldn't seem to get Hoseok off his mind after he had visited. He was interesting and needless to say, gorgeous. That night after Namjoon had returned home, he sat in his room and wondered what on earth his name was or when he would appear at the cafe again.
So yes, it was a little upsetting and offending that his friends had gotten to know the boy and his name before him. Jin would speak of how caring and wondrous he was while Jungkook would ramble about his artwork and sweet hugs.
